Hi! I’m Marina :)

I’m a Chinese American who was born in the U.S. and grew up in Shanghai. I’ve been based in the U.S. for about 10 years now. After working in finance for several years, I decided to take some time off to focus on personal growth, travel, and connecting with people and communities in meaningful ways.

I’m curious, thoughtful, and dependable. In recent years, I’ve been learning more about psychology, cross-cultural communication, and healing — which has deepened my appreciation for mindful living and genuine human connection.

I love spending time outdoors — whether it’s playing tennis, hiking, practicing yoga, or exploring local markets. I’m organized, detail-oriented, and value a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Through Workaway, I hope to experience new ways of living, learn from different communities, and contribute wherever I can — whether that’s helping around the house, supporting a project, or simply sharing stories.

I speak English and Chinese fluently and enjoy connecting with people from different backgrounds. I’m organized and genuinely love keeping spaces clean and welcoming — cleaning and tidying are actually relaxing for me!

I also enjoy healthy cooking and experimenting with simple, nourishing meals. I’m happy to help with meal prep, kitchen organization, or sharing healthy recipes.

In general, I’m responsible, a fast learner, and approach every task with care and attention to detail.
