Hi!

I'm Mariana, a 25 year old from Portugal balancing a hospitality day-job with busy nights in loud venues as a concert photographer.

Both personally and professionally, I'm driven by novelty and curiosity. I appreciate the stability of a routine as much as the chance to break it ever now and then.

Workaway has allowed me to experience first-hand freedom as a 18-year-old in Prague, and led me to great friendships in the beautiful streets of Ghent at 22. Three years later, it is the reason I live in Belgium, biking to work daily and communicating in Dutch.

It's now time for a new adventure, and I'm looking forward to exploring the world of surf and unwinding from the busy city life, in Portugal or abroad!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- Photography and Video: With a degree on Audiovisual Communication and having worked as a freelance photographer for the last couple years, I'm to happy help with anything in this field!

- Hospitality: From my first hostel Workaway in 2018 to a full-time job at a bar, I've made my way around different hospitality jobs. I am familiar with check-in/check-outs, serving customers and working behind the bar.

- Working with Animals/Farm Tasks: Recently I have had the chance to volunteer and work for a donkey-welfare association in my region, participating in tasks related to rural life and sustainability.

- General Maintenance: Living in a rural area in Northern Portugal, I've grown used to different building, gardening and countryside tasks, as well as helping around the house and with general maintenance.
