Hi there! I’m Malaika and i love traveling in a way that feels meaningful and immersive. I get most excited about experiencing new cultures up close, learning how people live day to day, and feeling like part of a place rather than just passing through. Sharing meals, stories, and routines with others is one of my favorite parts of travel.

I’m naturally curious, open minded, and easy to get along with. I adapt quickly to new environments and enjoy being helpful wherever I’m needed, whether that means supporting daily tasks, learning new skills, or simply being a positive presence. I value mutual respect, clear communication, and bringing good energy into shared spaces.

Travel photography is something I’m actively growing and very excited about. I love capturing real moments, beautiful landscapes, and everyday life in a way that feels authentic and thoughtful. I’m eager to keep learning, improving my eye, and telling stories through photos as I travel.

More than anything, I’m excited to connect with people, contribute in meaningful ways, and fully immerse myself in new places. I’m looking forward to learning from my hosts, sharing experiences, and creating memories that feel real and lasting.

I bring a mix of practical skills, people skills, and positive energy wherever I go. I’m very sociable and genuinely enjoy connecting with people, which makes me comfortable working in team environments, welcoming guests, or supporting community projects.

I bring strong organizational skills and a calm, reliable approach to everything I do. I have extensive experience in project management and logistics, which means I’m comfortable planning, coordinating, scheduling, and making sure things run smoothly from start to finish. I’m detail oriented, dependable, and someone who takes ownership and follows through, especially in environments where many moving parts need to come together.

I also have a strong background in customer service through both waitressing and retail. These experiences taught me how to communicate clearly, multitask in fast paced settings, and make people feel welcomed and valued. I’m used to working with all kinds of personalities, handling questions or challenges with patience, and maintaining a positive attitude even during busy or stressful moments.

I’m very sociable and enjoy working with others, whether that’s welcoming guests, collaborating with a team, or supporting community focused projects. I naturally connect with people and bring good energy into shared spaces.

I’m actively learning Spanish and make a continuous effort to practice through conversation while traveling. I enjoy language exchange and am always excited to improve and learn from native speakers.

I currently volunteer as a board member for a nonprofit organization, which has strengthened my leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Giving back and being part of meaningful, purpose driven work is very important to me.

I was trained as an EMT, which taught me how to stay calm under pressure, work effectively as part of a team, and be dependable in high responsibility situations. Safety, awareness, and trust are things I take seriously.

I also love photography and enjoy capturing authentic moments, people, and places. I’m happy to help with photography for social media, websites, or personal projects while continuing to grow my travel photography skills.

Overall, I’m adaptable, reliable, and genuinely excited to help wherever I’m needed. I bring organization, warmth, curiosity, and a strong work ethic, and I look forward to contributing in meaningful ways while fully immersing myself in new places and cultures!

In my free time, I love exploring new neighborhoods with my camera in hand, chasing good food, and getting to know a place through its people and everyday moments. I’m a big fan of shared meals, learning local recipes, and spending time together whether that’s over great conversation, cards, or a board game that gets a little competitive in a fun way. I enjoy staying active through long walks and light workouts, but I also appreciate slow mornings, journaling, reading, and editing photos with a good playlist on. I’m naturally curious and love learning new things, especially practicing Spanish, swapping stories, or diving into local culture. I’m easygoing, respectful of shared spaces, and bring positive energy wherever I go. I love being part of a home that feels warm, social, and full of good vibes.
