Hi, my actual name is Marija but you can call me Maja as all my friends do so! I signed up for Workaway because I want to get in touch with locals, their culture, experience their way of living and help them with their projects. Also I'm keen to improve my language skills be it spanisch, french, english, little italian (yes I love learning languages!)

I finished a school for art and design and am obviously also very interested in this area. But my interestests go in many directions as I love art, cooking, sports, hiking, languages, animals and animal care, nature (ps I'm vegan;)) and much more.

I hope for my hosts and myself to have a nice experience and that we can learn from each other and just have fun together!

Hello there!
My name is Helena and I'm 19 years old.
I love to travel the world and that's one of the main reasons why I choose workaway as my go to way to experience the authentic life of people in the areas I go to!
Workaway in my opinion offers oneself to have a deeper look into the way other cultures work and also gives you the chance to meet other people from far away or local countries.
I'm very interested in learning about other peoples traditions, interests and would love to help them fullfill their projects!

After already having traveled the world for 4 Months (USA, Fijis, New Zealand) I'm more than exited to learn more about my new sorroundings and to have fun with the upcoming hosts and travelers due to the help of workaway!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Maja:
Besides school/ studies I work in gastronomy since about 5 years. I worked in cafes, restaurants, catering, events, etc. I'm also familiar with the kitchen as 1. I LOVE cooking & 2. also had to help in the kitchen in my jobs.

Then I also work in a museum where I create different workshops for people of all age, so I'm very familiar with art mediation and generally with working together with other people. Sometimes we worked with children, sometimes students and also adults. We did many different thing eg. painting, pottery, construction works with wood or stone etc., woodcut, gardening and much more. For some events I also designed flyers or manuals.

Then as mentionned I just finished an art school and have therefore much experience in different areas such as architecture, painting, digital design, printing techniques, little pottery, music as I play the guitar, etc.

In my spare time I like to prepare delicious meals and spend a lot of time outside doing sports, hiking, climbing.
I also like helping my grandparents with gardening as they have a really huge garden with fruits, vegetables, nut trees and different berries. My grandfather also makes his own wine and liquor and let me help him with this too:)

Generally I'm interested in many things and have many different skills so I'd say it's always a good choice to have me as a workawayer!!:D

Helena:
I finished school about a more than half a year ago and have many interests in multible areas.
Ever since I was little I loved cooking and baking but also art is one of my main hobbies.
I had the chance to also fullfill these hobbys in my workingplaces back home.
I've worked in the field of gastronomy about 3 years now and also in a museum where I was able to plan arts and crafts projects for people of all age (such as painting, pottery, small construction works, etc.).
Besides that I love to hike, climb, surf and do many other sports.
In addition I also really care about all kinds of animals (ps: I'm mostly vegan ;) and would love to help in animal care and such things.
I'm always motivated in learning about other peoples traditions and way of living and what would be a better chance to do so if not supporting local projects?:)
I'm always openmined to meet new experiences in various ways and really looking forward to getting to know you soon!

We just like beeing happy and getting in touch with people and different cultures and helping them with their dreams is totally enough to make us happy:)

And we're very open-minded, respectful and fun persons to spend time with, just looking forward to some new experiences!
