Hey there, Lucas, 27 years old, French.

I guess i'm a curious, creative and easy-going traveler. I've been traveling independently since I was 18, when I spent a month backpacking around the Philippines. Since then, traveling has become a big part of my life, and I've had the opportunity to live, work and volunteer in different places, including Spain, the UK, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland and, most recently, Brazil, where I spent several months.

I really enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, discovering new cultures and getting out of my comfort zone. My friends would probably describe me as kind, caring and funny, but also creative, adaptable and someone who enjoys sharing good moments with others.

I'm also someone who likes to be useful. I have experience in hospitality, reception and sales, so I'm comfortable welcoming people, communicating with guests, helping with everyday tasks and working as part of a team. I also have a creative side: I enjoy video making, editing and photography, and I have experience in dance, teaching Hip Hop and Dancehall mostly.

For me, volunteering is the perfect way to combine all of this: meeting people, sharing skills, learning from others, contributing to a place and becoming part of the local environment, even if only for a short time.

I'm especially interested in opportunities involving hospitality, reception, guest relations, social media/content creation or anything where I can be useful while learning something new.

Je m’appelle Lucas, 27 ans, français.

Curieux, créatif et bon vivant, je voyage en solo depuis mes 18 ans, lorsque je suis parti pendant un mois en sac à dos aux Philippines. Depuis, le voyage a pris une place importante dans ma vie et j’ai eu l’occasion de vivre/travailler et faire du volontariat dans plusieurs pays, notamment en Espagne, au Royaume-Uni, au Portugal, en Belgique, en Suisse et plus récemment au Brésil, où j’ai passé plusieurs mois.

Ce que j’aime particulièrement dans le voyage, c’est rencontrer des personnes venant d’horizons différents, découvrir de nouvelles cultures et sortir de ma zone de confort. Mes proches me décriraient probablement comme quelqu’un de gentil, attentionné et drôle, mais aussi de créatif, adaptable et toujours partant pour partager de bons moments avec les autres.

J’aime également me sentir utile et participer activement à la vie d’un lieu. J’ai de l’expérience dans l’hôtellerie, l’accueil et la vente, ce qui m’a appris à être à l’aise avec les clients, à communiquer facilement, à aider dans les tâches du quotidien et à travailler en équipe.

J’ai aussi un côté créatif que j’aime beaucoup développer. Je fais aussi de la photo et de la création vidéo, notamment le montage, et j’ai également une expérience dans la danse, principalement en HipHop et Dancehall, que j’ai eu l’occasion d’enseigner.

Pour moi, le volontariat est une excellente manière de réunir tout ce que je recherche : rencontrer des gens, partager mes compétences, apprendre des autres, contribuer à un projet et m’intégrer, même temporairement, dans un nouvel environnement.

Je suis particulièrement intéressé par les missions liées à l’accueil, l’hospitalité, les relations avec les voyageurs, les réseaux sociaux, la création de contenu ou toute autre mission dans laquelle je pourrais être utile tout en apprenant de nouvelles choses.

I would like to learn darija, I'm starting to learn on my own but immersion and any help is welcomed haha. I mainly learned English thanks to my trips to the UK, and Spanish and Portuguese by myself. I also need to practice Portuguese in order to be totally fluid.
