I've found a host family in Norway:)

My name is Luisa (24) and I’m from a small village in Germany. I study to become a primary school teacher (Maths, German & Science/Social Studies) and will finish my studies next year. Besides I love being outside, meeting new people, and learning about different ways of life. Furthermore, I have been in a dance club since childhood, where I prepare for carnival with a group every week and we learn a choreography🕺

I’m looking for a stay from end-october/ November to mid-December and would love to meet nice people, learn something new and just live a happy life for a few weeks.

I grew up in a small village surrounded by fields and nature. My family has a little farm background – my grandparents used to have cows and chickens, and at home we always had outdoor cats running around 🐓🌾 So I really enjoy country life, animals and working with my hands I’m happy to help wherever I’m needed – on a farm, in a garden, with children, in a school or hostel, or with daily life tasks. Even though I grew up in the countryside, I also enjoy city life — I lived for two years in a shared flat in Kassel, a big city in central Germany, so I feel comfortable in both places. I’m a person who loves discovering new places and cultures. Travelling and meeting people from other countries is always exciting. I enjoy trying new things and learning from others.
I would love to go to a primary school two or three mornings a week to collect some experience for my final thesis, but apart from that, I’m very open to help wherever it’s needed. I’ve never been a Workawayer before, but I’m really excited to start this adventure! I’m a reliable, positive and curious person who likes to help, learn, and take responsibility. I always try to do my best.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a lot of experience with different kinds of jobs: I often look after my three-year-old godchild, worked as a babysitter, gave private tutoring for two years, and I’m currently working as a substitute teacher in primary schools.
Besides that, I also work in logistics where I drive a forklift, and in the past I’ve done several other jobs — for example in a donut shop, delivering food, at the cinema and in retail. I really like trying out different kinds of work and learning something new everywhere.

I also helped my brother renovate his house and had metal, ceramic and wood workshops at university — I enjoy practical work where you can see what you’ve done at the end of the day! 🔨
