Hi! I’m Lucía. I’ll be traveling around Southeast Asia from April to August and would love to do some Workaway projects, meet locals and travelers, share experiences and make new friends along the way

Hi! I’m an adventurous and curious traveler from Zamora, a small city in Spain. I love meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and embracing experiences that help me grow as a person. I’ve participated in international volunteering projects focused on community, the environment, peace and nonviolence, which have deepened my passion for helping others and making a positive impact wherever I go.

I’m always eager to learn new things and develop new skills, and I believe that sharing knowledge and experiences with others is one of the best ways to grow. Volunteering, connecting with people, and exploring the world bring me happiness and inspire me to keep seeking adventures and meaningful experiences.

I’m very interested in both teaching and learning languages. I enjoy teaching English and Spanish and helping others gain confidence, but I’m also passionate about learning new languages myself. I’d love to learn Italian, and in general I’m interested in all languages, as I believe they reflect a lot of each country’s culture and are a great way to connect with people and truly understand them and the place they come from.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’m passionate about volunteering and making a positive impact wherever I go. I’ve participated in international volunteering experiences with SCI, including “Back to Nature” in the Czech Republic, caring for a forest and helping run a camp; “United in Diversity” in Serbia, teaching children about different cultures and creating fun, educational experiences; and the World March for Peace in India and Nepal, organizing events, documenting the experience for social media, and collaborating with locals to promote peace. I’ve also helped with the festival “The Kaleidoscope” in the UK, contributing to stage building, decoration, and event planning.

Back home, I’ve taught children English, Spanish, and other subjects, and volunteered locally helping kids with their homework and class projects. Alongside my volunteering, I’ve completed courses in community management, business fundamentals, food handling, and communication, which have strengthened my skills in organization, teamwork, creativity, social media, and responsibility. I’m a very curious person who loves learning new things, adapting to different environments, and bringing enthusiasm and a hands-on attitude to every project.

Was noch ...

When I’m not volunteering, I love reading, exploring art, playing sports like water polo, and doing crochet. I enjoy discovering music from different cultures, learning new skills like chess and solving Rubik’s cubes, and I’m always eager to try and learn new hobbies. My favorite adventures have been skydiving and scuba diving, which remind me of the joy of stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new experiences.
