Hi there! I'm Luca! I'm a 30-year-old Aquarius with a background in biology, endless curiosity, and a drive to experience new things, places, ideas, and scenery. I've lived a bit of an eclectic life so far. I've found that I thrive in unusual circumstances , and any attempts so far at putting down roots and settling haven't really been fruitful, so I'm hoping to try another path.

It's important to me to really immerse myself in the culture and language around me and embrace the lifestyle of the people I'm living with, so I really hope to spend longer periods of time at each workaway I visit (at least a month, if possible!).

I oscillate between very social and borderline hermit, so once I start workawaying, I'll probably take either house- or pet-sitting roles, or culture shares, schools, or other very social things - and I'll do my best to indicate what I'm looking for!

My hobbies and favorite activities include: any type of art I can get my hands on, birdwatching, reading tarot, choral music, walking around looking at beautiful things, visiting museums and the like, cooking from scratch,  clowning/drama/performance art in general, being endlessly curious, and learning everything I can from everywhere I can. I am eternally looking to expand this list, so if I stay with you, please share your passions with me, just know I may be clumsy with it at first!

Things that I want to do but haven't done much or any of yet include: shepherding, sailing, living by the sea, cemetery caretaking, making wine, knitting, crocheting, and weaving, metalworking, lapidary art, lighthouse-keeping, miming and who knows what else - I'll add to this list as I go!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I love to cook! One of my many jobs was  resident assist at an international senior living center, where I cooked brunch or dinner on the weekends, and I've enjoyed getting creative with seasonal and local foods. I want to keep learning more about cooking, so let me cook for you!

I've been pet sitting on and off my whole life, and I grew up on a small hobby farm, so I'm very comfortable with animal care, though I haven't worked with large livestock much, so I'll have more of a learning curve with cows/horses/pigs and the like!

I've also been a housekeeper for years, so any basic home maintenance tasks are familiar to me :)

I also have experience living and working with both children and the elderly in a variety of jobs! I'd be thrilled to spend time at other intergenerational communities, and while I haven't spent much time caring for very young children, I'd be open to nannying/teaching/helping out for kids 4 or older!

Beyond those major ones, I've dabbled in so many things, including but not limited to:
Hand sewing, interior design, bartending and mixology, field biology and ecological restoration, graphic design, taxidermy and leather working, and many others I'm sure I'm forgetting!
