Having finished the second year of my degree I am currently working as a bartender and working on various campaigns. in my free time I enjoy reading, playing guitar, and exploring nature with friends

Beschreibung

Heyo! My name is Lola. I am 21 years old and looking for a workaway experience to connect with other people from around the world and learn more to learn more about gardening and permaculture, and really learn more about the world.
It would be my dream todo a workaway this summer to contribute to a good project and grow as a person too.
Currently I am a student and bartender in Manchester. I study Sociology and Anthropology in Manchester.
However, I have a 4 month summer ahead of me and have been dreaming of going on a workaway.
In Manchester I volunteer with a local permaculture and community gardening project, where I garden weekly and then occasionally we cook the harvest together in large community meals. This is something I really love and would be keen to do elsewhere.
I am also a part various activist groups in Manchester. for example I am in the student and city tenants union, working to improve renter's rights in the city and build up a network amongst renters based on reciprocity and care :)
I also spent 1 and a half months at a protest encampment at my university, fighting against their connections with the Israel's genocide.
Aside from actvisim, I love to read and I am currently learning to play the guitar too. I am also very interested in meditation , and would like to get more in touch with myself spiritually.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Through volunteering with a gardening and permaculture group I have some knowledge of gardening and a lot of dedication and enthusiasm too.
I also know my way around a kitchen and am familiar with cooking meals for large groups of people.
I am quick at using computers and excel, from the administrative side of organising work that I do in the city.
On top of this I also have 5 years of working in hospitality, I would like to say I am a friendly and empathetic worker who can stay on top of multiple tasks at once and make people feel at home :)
