Beschreibung

Heyo! My name is Lola. I am 22 years old and looking for a workaway experience to connect with other people from around the world and learn more to learn more about gardening and permaculture, and really learn more about the world.
Having just finished my degree in social anthropology at the univeristy of manchester, I am keen to get out into the world through volunteering.
I'm a keen gardener, partcipating in various local community garden projects in my home of Manchester. I also have been a part of various protest groups and community projects in my area and home town of london as I believe it is important we organise amongst oursleves in our communities to fight the inequalities abetted and encouraged by our governments whether that be towards animals, the climate, immigration or through collaboration with a zionist state.

I play guitar, love to read and am keen to learn arabic and spanish too if possible.

When i was 18 i went to a workaway in the czech republic, helping with wood chopping, gardening and various community projects. More recently , i have spent some weeks at a workaway in ireland, where i supported a local buddhist center through helping with housekeeping and cooking.

both experiences have been incredibly meaningful to me, each in their own ways, and I am keen to travel like this more and keep learning from other volunteers, locals and hosts :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Through volunteering with a gardening and permaculture group I have some knowledge of gardening and a lot of dedication and enthusiasm too.
I also know my way around a kitchen and am familiar with cooking meals for large groups of people.
I am quick at using computers and excel, from the administrative side of organising work that I do in the city.
On top of this I also have 5 years of working in hospitality, I would like to say I am a friendly and empathetic worker who can stay on top of multiple tasks at once and make people feel at home :)
