Hi! My name is Lisa-mae, I’m a creative maker from Groningen in the north of the Netherlands.

I work within photography, culture and community projects, with a focus on atmosphere, storytelling and human connection. Over the past years I’ve worked on creative projects, events and social content for theaters, festivals and community initiatives.

At the moment I’m looking for a slower and more meaningful way of traveling. I love nature, quiet places, creativity, cooking together, small communities and learning from different ways of living.

I’m someone who enjoys both connection and independence. I like helping out, being useful and creating a warm atmosphere, but I also value calmness and personal space. I usually feel most at home in smaller environments with kind people, creativity and a bit of softness.

Besides creative work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, photography, music , movies, reading, creative expression, and many more things ;).

I’m also curious about slower and more sustainable ways of living. I would love to learn more about organic gardening, growing vegetables and fruit, and helping with practical tasks around the house or land. I don't have a lot of experience, but I am well willing to learn. I enjoy being useful in everyday life and I’d also be happy to help children practice English in a playful and relaxed way.

I speak Dutch and English fluently, and a bit of Spanish from the time I lived in Madrid during my studies and I understand most German and French.

I would really enjoy helping children practice or learn English in a playful and natural way. I like working with creativity, communication and making people feel comfortable, which I think also helps with language learning. I speak Dutch and English fluently, and I also speak a bit of Spanish from the time I lived in Madrid during my studies. I would love to use my Spanish more again while traveling. Besides that, I’d also really enjoy learning some Italian along the way.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I enjoy a mix of creative and practical work and I’m someone who likes to be useful in everyday life. I’m happy helping with things around the house, gardening, cooking, organizing, cleaning or other hands-on tasks. I would especially love to learn more about organic gardening, growing vegetables and fruit, and slower, more sustainable ways of living. I’d also be happy to help children practice English in a playful and natural way.

I don’t have previous experience as a Workawayer yet, but I’m curious, open-minded and eager to learn new things. I usually adapt quickly to new environments and enjoy learning by doing.

People often describe me as calm, responsible and easy to communicate with. I like creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere and I value kindness, honesty and mutual respect.

I speak Dutch and English fluently, and a bit of Spanish from the time I lived in Madrid during my studies. Besides that I understand some German and French.

Was noch ...

I care a lot about living in a calm and meaningful way. The things that are most important to me in life are creativity, nature, honest connection and continuing to learn new things.

I enjoy simple moments like being outside, good conversations and making a place feel warm and welcoming. I’m naturally curious and I see traveling as a way to learn from people, cultures and different ways of thinking and living.
