Hi there! I am motivated to make new connections and gain new experiences working with locals from around the world. I find joy in constantly challenging myself, setting and achieving goals that contribute to my overall development. I enjoy being in nature and participating in outdoor activities including outdoor sports and sightseeing. I love reading and meditating, and am open to new ways of broadening my mind to remain in the present and enjoy life as it comes.

I am fluent in English and am open to teaching it. I am hoping to keep up with my German so any oppourtunity to speak it or learn more I am very interested in. I am hoping to get better at French, I took it in school and know the basics but would love to have exposure to it again.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Communication - every job I've had required good communication skills, my role at the Ottawa Rowing Club showcases this skill. I was a Coach for the Adult Learn to Row program where people from all walks of life came to try rowing. As a coach I would get to try out different ways of explaining the same skill to reach everyone so that they all understood what they should be attempting to do.
Leadership - I was a lifeguard for many years and eventually became a Head Guard at the University of Ottawa Pool. I was responsible for the other guards on shift and was the go-to person when any issues arose. I fostered an environment where the other guards felt like they could come talk to me and bring up issues as well as feeling supported in their role to answer questions patrons would ask them.
Adaptability - I am a very easy going person and can adapt to situations when they fall in my lap. I worked at a kids summer camp where I took on more than one role in order to help the camp run smoothly. I was Assistant Director as well as Waterfront Director, and as anyone who's been to or worked at a summer camp you would know just how exhausting and rewarding it can be.
Teamwork - I am very much a team player, I have seamlessly collaborated with others throughout my life whether that was my fellow lifeguards, colleagues and campers at camp, fellow rowers, other government employees, or factory employees across departments.
Organized - I exhibit exceptional organizational skills, effortlessly maintaining order, prioritizing tasks, and orchestrating a structured approach to efficiently tackle responsibilities. As Assistant Director at Fraser Lake Camp I scheduled time off for staff, aided in activity planning and prepared themed campfires including songs and skits.
Positive - my positivity radiates through my optimistic outlook, infectious enthusiasm, and a genuine ability to find silver linings in any situation, uplifting both myself and those around me. I've done some work with children, helping them to be supported and uplifted to try new things and feel secure in themselves enough to enjoy life and try new things in a safe environment.

Was noch ...

I grew up playing cards and board games with my family and very much enjoy learning new games and teaching people games that I know.
I'm from a farm in Canada, meaning I was around Pigs, Cows, and farm machinery growing up and very familiar and happy with farm work.
I enjoy going to the gym and being active, whether it's biking, hiking, swimming or something else.
