Hi everyone! I’m Laura, i'm 18 years old and i would define myself a lover of adventure and adrenaline. I am a natural optimist: I strongly believe that every problem has a solution if we face it with the right mindset instead of letting it overwhelm us.
I’m always ready to make new friends, discover new cultures, and proudly share my own. I truly believe that every single experience in life enriches us, which is why I want to step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself, and put all my energy into helping others.
Growing up in the suburbs of a big city taught me how to handle chaotic situations and comunicate with all kinds of people. At the same time, it gave me a deep love for nature, as lakes and mountains are just a short drive from my home.
I want to live a Workaway experience to grow as a person, practice my second languages and offer my time and energy to someone who truly needs it. I am eager to learn everything you can teach me. I believe that traveling and discovering new places, is the best way to open one's mind and see the world with more honest eyes. I can't wait to meet you!

SKILL & EXPERIENCE
I am extremely flexible and a quick learner. Here is what I can bring to your project:
• Communication & Problem Solving: I have worked at fairs and summer holiday resorts. These experiences helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to solve unexpected problems on the spot.
• Teamwork & Creativity: I take theatre classes! It taught me a deep sense of community, how to cooperate with others, and gave me the confidence to speak and perform in front of large crowds.
• Water Sports & Outdoors: I've been passionate about windsurfing and sailing since I was a child. I love the sea, hiking, and cycling in nature. I am not afraid of physical or outdoor work!
• Animal Care: I have a dog back home and absolutely adore animals. I am more than happy to take care of yours, feed them, or take them for long walks.
• Laboratory & Organization Skills: I am very versatile! I worked as an assistant in a chemical laboratory for a fertilizer company. This experience taught me scientific methodologies, strict document organization, and high attention to detail, while reinforcing my ability to work closely within a team.

Was noch ...

I am a non-smoker, I have no allergies, and I eat everything! As a true Italian, I love food! I am more than happy to cook some traditional, homemade pasta or risotto for you and share a nice meal together.

In my free time, I love being creative: I enjoy building things (DIY projects), painting, and playing the ukulele! Thanks to theater, I also know a lot of fun group games and storytelling techniques, perfect for entertainment or cozy evenings. Also, if you live near the water, I’d be happy to share or learn some windsurfing or sailing tips!

I am incredibly respectful of house rules, spaces, and schedules. I am looking for an authentic cultural exchange, a way to expand my cultural background, and a place to call "home" away from home.
