Hi! I’m Laurie, a friendly and adventurous traveler from Canada who loves meeting new people, learning new skills, and experiencing different cultures.

I have a background in communications, marketing, customer service, and education, which has helped me develop strong organizational and interpersonal skills. I’ve worked in event coordination, social media and marketing, customer-facing roles, and with children in educational settings. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to be adaptable, responsible, and proactive.

I enjoy being part of a team and am always happy to help wherever needed, whether that’s cleaning, reception work, social media, organizing activities, or general maintenance tasks. I’m a positive person who isn’t afraid of hard work and loves contributing to a welcoming environment.

Traveling is one of my biggest passions. I’ve lived abroad, volunteered in hostels, and enjoy connecting with people from all over the world. For me, Workaway is not only a way to explore new places but also an opportunity to share experiences, learn from others, and make meaningful connections along the way.

I am a friendly, adaptable, and hardworking person with experience in customer service, hospitality, marketing, social media, administration, and working with children. I have also volunteered in a hostel, where I gained experience in housekeeping and cleaning while helping create a welcoming environment for guests. Through my studies, professional roles, and volunteer experiences, I have developed strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. I enjoy working with people, learning new things, and contributing positively to a team. I’m always willing to help wherever needed and bring a positive attitude to every project and experience.
