Hi! I'm Kelly-Ann, a bachelor's degree student in ecology who strives to discover new places, explore their biodiversity, and try new things. I find joy in my books, in meeting new people and in getting out of my comfort zone. I will be starting my master's degree during the Fall of 2026, so I have a whole summer during which I want visit Guadeloupe and bring my partner, Louis, along. The way I go about tourism includes immersing myself into another culture and trying to learn from it as well as sharing mine. I am currently doing an student exchange in Montpellier (France) since discovering the mountains in Europe (the Alps and the Pyrenees) has always been my dream.

Hi! I'm Louis, a student in bachelor's degree in marine biology. I'm a guy with lots of hobbies, hiking, fitness, running, swimming, snorkling, scientific vulgarisation consumption and creation, I've always been a really curious person and now that I have the maturity to do so, I'm trying to get more adventurous and get out of my confort zone. I really enjoy cooking and sipping tea or coffee with the company of a great sci-fi or fantasy book. I wish to teach biology full time someday and I will start to work and study part time in the teaching field in fall 2026. I wish to keep learning in summer 2026, but also take the opportunity to have fun and make unforgetfull memories with my partner Kelly-Ann.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Kelly : As someone who enjoys living sustainably, I've learned to build and maintain what I have, from doing my own plumbing to sewing and fixing clothes. I am also learning about gardening and woodwork since I am part of a project to build an hydroponic lab for high school students in Sherbrooke. I really want to learn how to build a proper garden, so I can have mine. I am also willing to learn other technical skills that might come handy later in life.

Louis:

- Basic gardening from my dad and grandma
- Lab techniques
- CPR and first aid
- Field experience in capturing fish and clams
- Good endurance and physical strenght
- Proactive in unexpected situations
- Handling an axe to cut wood
- I love animals and working with them, I have some experience of live or diseased animal handling

Was noch ...

Kelly : I am a pretty active person, the sports I do include hiking, running, climbing, CrossFit, skiing. I also love to swim whenever I have the chance (I also take pride in how well I can stand cold water). I read A LOT (I'm on my fifth book and I've only been in France for two months).

Louis: I started my own youtube channel of scientific vulgarisation about biology last summer and I would love to have the opportunity to record some content about the wonderful biodiversity and ecological situation and challenges of the Guadeloupe archipelago!
