I'm Katie, 31 and living in Bath in the UK.
I am currently studying Wildlife Conservation at university having gone later in life, now that I know what I am passionate about! In between terms I like to travel as much as I can still, and for the last 10 years have been travelling on and off around the world in between various jobs. I have most recently been working as a cleaner, bookkeeper and retail assistant alongside my studies!
I first trained in childcare and worked as a nursery nurse in the UK, as well as being an au pair over in Australia for 6 months. I then worked in lots of different retail and hospitality jobs so have tons of experience there.
I have spent 2 years working and travelling Australia, and ever since it has been my dream to live there permanently, which is the reason I chose to do my degree, to make it possible! I did various jobs including cleaning, customer service, au pairing, events assistant, landscape labouring, and some fruit picking and planting.
I have also spent 1 year working and travelling New Zealand, where I worked in a sweet shop and on an apple orchard.
Other places I've travelled include Southeast Asia, Fiji, Vanuatu, Bali, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Hungary, Portugal, Croatia, Romania, and Spain.
I have volunteered with sea turtles in Sri Lanka, at an animal rescue centre in Hungary, at a wolf sanctuary in Portugal, at a kangaroo rescue shelter in Australia and on a big 5 game reserve in South Africa.
It is my dream/goal to work in a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre in Australia in the future, as I am a huge animal lover and would love to do meaningful work to show this.
I love to travel to meet different people, share amazing experiences, make memories and meaningful connections, and learn about new cultures or just learn something new in general!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As previously mentioned I have skills in various areas as I've had many jobs since leaving college!
These include working with young children, customer service and hospitality, animal care, cleaning, hostel work including reception and a variety of farm type jobs for short periods of time.
I am also a Level 3 qualified personal trainer so this is an area I would be super happy to work in!
I am keen to get stuck in and give things a go, I am adaptable and enjoy physical work.

Was noch ...

I am really into fitness so regularly go to the gym or go running. I also enjoy hiking, camping and am learning kickboxing. I ride a motorbike and drive a manual car.
I love being outdoors in nature, but also enjoy learning new crafts, currently starting to create things with clay which I love as well as improving my watercolour painting.
