Hello everyone,
my name is Katharina, and I’m really excited to start my Workaway journey! I love discovering new places, connecting with people from different cultures, and learning new skills along the way.

In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time in nature and spending time with my friends. I’m also very interested in cooking and baking. Since i'm vegetarian I would appreciate your openness about this preference. Although I might seem a bit quiet at first, I really enjoy spending time with others, sharing stories, and creating nice moments together.:)

I'm always happy to teach people some german and maybe even learn some of their language in exchange. Especially learning more french is on my to-do list. Of course i'm always happy to expand my english vocabulary, and i would also be open and happy to learn a completely new language:)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

After school i did a voluntary social year, working with people with disabilities. During that time, i assisted individuals with daily living activities (e.g. eating, working) but also provided personal care and emotional support. After that, i was an intern at an inclusive kindergarten, supervising and taking care of children from the ages of 3-7, with and without disabilities. Babysitting has been a part of my life for a long time as well, so i have plenty of experience in childcare. I also worked as a janitor, cleaning different building areas and fixing minor issues. I also have experience working as a kitchen staff member, especially in washing the utensils, giving out food and making sure everything is neatly in place.
Apart from that i'm always eager to learn , experience new things and gain new skills:D

Was noch ...

Recently i've started bouldering (i'm still at the very beginning and learning :D), apart from that i really enjoy playing board- and cardgames with my friends or family, also i like to play chess. I've played Handball for several years and am looking to start playing again soon.
