Hello! I am a PhD student from Norway, who has been living in England for the last 6 years. I speak native-level Norwegian and English, and conversational Spanish. My hobbies are hiking, rock climbing, weightlifting, reading, and playing tennis and rugby. I would love to learn more about Spanish culture and improve my spoken Spanish skills!

I am a fluent speaker of Norwegian and English, and a confident speaker of Spanish. I am also in the process of learning German and Russian. I am very interested in improving my Spanish. In exchange, I have experience teaching English to native Spanish-speaking children, since I spent this summer teaching English in Colombia.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have worked as a waitress and ordinary seaman on privately chartered yachts for the last 4 summers. I've balanced mixing drinks, hosting events like weddings and anniversaries, and providing great customer service alongside practical duties like docking and casting off. It's definitely made me both practically inclined towards the hard physical labour needed on a boat, but it's also given me a love for hosting and customer service as well - even if balancing the two could be stressful at times.

I've also worked as a primary school supply teacher for the past 3 years, working with children aged 6 to 12. I love kids, and I've got loads of fun activities and tips and tricks from working with that age group. I am also working towards a TESOL (teaching English as a second language) qualification. I love just spending time with kids, but I'm also able to provide targeted English lessons to improve vocabulary and fluency.

I'd also describe myself as generally sporty and with a love of trying new things. I had never worked on a boat or spent much time with children before starting my aforementioned jobs - but I know that I've adapted and learnt so much from trying new things. I also play rugby at university and national level - so I'm not afraid of physically strenuous labour!

I love reading, playing board games, cooking, and chatting! I'm also very keen on sports, and I usually work out every day. I hike, do yoga, run, go to the gym, play tennis, rock climb, and play rugby. In addition, I love trying new things and I am generally up to try just about anything!
