Adolescent je travaillais l’été dans les Pyrénées où mes parents avaient une résidence secondaire ; très tôt j'ai appris à bâtir des murs « à sec » auprès d'un maçon, jardiner au potager, exerçant également dans l'hôtellerie. Ma carrière adulte s’est essentiellement déroulée à Taïwan, Hong-Kong, au Québec et aux EUA dans plusieurs domaines, dont la logistique internationale, la formation RH et la haute technologie, la gestion de projects, l'enseignement des langues vivantes, les traductions techniques, la santé publique.

Supervision de la livraison de matériaux de construction et pose de plancher de 100 m. carrés avec un deuxième co-équipier dans le Tarn.
Murs de soutènements et aménagements paysagers innovants dans la Sierra Nevada (Californie) ;
Rénovation du fini d'une maison en rondins ;
Construction de deux structures attenantes à la maison, une à l'est, l'autre à l'ouest, chacune de 8 m par 4 m, harmonisant la toiture celle du bâtiment principal pré-existant ;
Pose de parement extérieurs ;
Restauration de la jupe d'une roulotte de 25 mètres de long; installation d'isolement contre les rongeurs ;
Organisation de débarras et triage d'objets personnels et outil accumulés depuis 40 ans ;
Construction d'un abri de jardin pour le grain dans une petite ferme familiale ;
Construction d'une penderie / garde-robe d' 1m 50 par 4 m 50 situé dans un apartement en sous-sol : dessins, cadrages, charpente, finition des plâtres à la main ;
Peintures extérieures et intérieures et installation de parquets dans une maison de 140 m2 ;
Taille des tomates dans une ferme bio ;
Restauration de boiseries vermoulues ;
Installation en façade d’un éclairage à cellule branché sur un circuit intérieur ;
Aménagement de fenêtres ;
Installation de circuits électriques et de placo-plâtres dans une petite grange ;
Démolition et construction d’une nouvelle terrasse et autres structures ;
Production artisanale de copie numérisées de peintures originales.

Mes autres activités :

J’étudie, recherche, compose et joue dans de petites formations la guitare Brésilienne et sud-américaine.
J’enseigne et étudie le Tango Argentin, le West coast swing, la danse cubaine et d’autres styles.
Marche en pleine nature.
Je nage 1 à 2 kms jusqu'à 6 fois par semaine par tout temps.

Recent work activities as a workawayer:

Supervised the delivery of OSB in Tarn (SW France) and installation with one other worker of a 100 square meter floor in an attic.
Collaborated in a major landscaping project in the Sierra Nevada foothills at a brand new wedding venue;
Renovated a log cabin finish.
Built two 23 ft x 12 ft structures, 1 carport and 1 covered porch matching the roofing material of the existing structure.
Built planter beds.
Installed hardie-board siding on a tiny house.
Refurbished the skirting of a trailer and install anti rodents harmless devices.
Organized sheds and sort out about 40 years of tools, belongings supplies and useless stuff.
Built a 6 ft x 14 ft shed on a small family farm;
Construction of very large walk-in closet in a basement apartment (planning, framing, drywall and hand-texturing).

In contract (non-workaway) positions:

A complete inside and outside paint and floor installation in a 140 square meter single family residence.
Routing of electrical and installation of drywall and hand texturing in a small barn.
Tomatoes pruning and cultivating as an industrial farm crew.
The wiring of a motion sensor and outdoor light on an indoor circuit;
Replacement of windows in a residence.
Removing dry rot and replacing it.
Demolition and rebuilding of a deck.
Digital reproduction of high-end art printed on canvas.

What I do when I am not working:

Study, research, compose and play latin and jazz guitar styles in small combos;
Teach (and study) Argentinean Tango, West coast swing, Cuban and other dance styles;
Nature walks;
Read historical novels.

Was noch ...

I owned and improved 5 properties for profitable resale. I was involved with family farming since a kid in the Pyrénées mountains of southern France. I worked on farms in the Swiss Alps, in Taiwan and Hong-Kong. In Vermont I owned and lived on a 50 acres property; a small maple syrup farm, growing garlic, blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes, spinach in the (almost) year round greenhouse heated by the main house wood stove. I can share construction techniques, music, guitar and other subjects to dedicated learners. I am an active composer and music arranger. I enjoy playing in small ensembles. I am an experienced social dance teacher (Cuban, West Coast Swing, Argentinean Tango). I conducted academic research and studied Taijiquan with masters in China for 5 years, then designed a teaching module for a 24 moves sequence.
