Dia dhuit! I’m Jordan from Ireland and 27 years young 🇮🇪

I’ve been living and working in London, UK for the past 3.5 years as a technical account manager for a financial technology company building and selling software to large and high profile US, UK, EU Banks and Hedge funds…if you have an hour I’ll explain my job …but I’ll save you the pain xD

I’ve always dreamed of travelling the world and this year I decided to take the leap and quit my full time job to solo backpack around SE Asia. I started my 6 month journey at the end of the March.

So far I’ve been to South Thailand, Cambodia and now Vietnam! I’ve had the best time ever but I’m really looking forward to spending a good chunk of time doing something more rewarding than just being a tourist.

I’d love the opportunity to teach my skills or whatever I can to anyone that needs it - be it English, Maths, Entrepreneurship, Computers, Finances or even Irish music and cooking!!

I’m a patient and open person, I love chatting to people and getting to know local culture, history, food and everything in between. I’m also a recovering musician and spent my teenage years and early twenties playing in bands and playing guitar/ singing professionally. I’ve even brought a travelling guitar - so I’d be delighted to pass on the love for music or teach some lessons to anyone that’s interested - just say the word :)

My plan is to travel to North Vietnam after a Workaway - then Laos, Northern Thailand, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. For me it’s a trip and an opportunity of a life time to do this, so I want to immerse myself in everything as much as I can.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’m a software engineer and software sales / account manager. I have a Bsc. in Business Information Systems from University College Cork.

I have over 4 years of experience working in the software industry and have been living and working in London for the past 3.5 years.

Before that I was a full time professional musician and I played in bands from the age of 15 - 21. I thought guitar lessons to children and adults during this time.

I’m also a certified soccer coach in Ireland (FAI Kickstart 1) and I spent some weeks teaching young kids in summer training camps.

My first language is English. I always excelled at English in school receiving top grades throughout my time in education.

I graduated university with first class honours. And received 520/625 points in my leaving certificate in secondary school (top percentile in the country)

I love to cook, run, play guitar, write songs and swim.

I’ve ran a marathon and completed an olympic triathlon. I exercise for fun so I’m very fit, strong and healthy.
