Hello dear hosts, I am Clémence, currently living and working in Toulouse, France.

I am a 30 year old woman who used to work in Human Ressources Management, but made the choice a few years ago of a complete change of path towards a more (at least for me) meaningful job. Now, I am a nurse in oncology/cancer treatment, and I love it.

However, I do miss the thrill of meeting new people and cultures as I used to live and work abroad. That is why I would like to take a little break from the hospital rooms, to load the batteries during my summer break.

Plus, I recently started to learn Spanish and I would like to immerse myself to improve and learn more about this language and the hispanic cultures.

I also realised that I'd rather discover a country and its culture by staying a little while and serve/work somewhere than by "just" wandering and consuming places, activities and restaurants.

I like good talks and laughs, and I am curious about other people's opinions and conceptions of life, but I'm also very independent and I need some times by myself. In my free time I love to read, go for a hike, bike, eat, dance, paint... or just go with the flow!

I like to be active, I am not afraid of getting hard work and to take initiatives if needed. I am a nurse now, but I have already worked in a hostel in Napoli, Italy; in a small farm in Sweden; in a restaurant in Berlin, Germany; or in Nantes, France; or as a nanny with children; as an English and French teacher for private lessons... I adapt easily to places, people and situations.

If you want to know more about my background:
I have a Bachelor in Business studies, a Master in Management and Human Resources, a Master in Business Administration and last, a State Nursing Diploma.

I have professional experience in Oncology and Intensive Care, but also Human Resources in an aeronautic company. As student jobs, I gained experience in catering, language teaching, cleaning, preparing food, working in a supermarket and in a retail store, etc.

Was noch ...

In my free time, I read a lot: novels, essays, human sciences magazines...
I like cooking, and love eating even more. Family dinners last for hours at home!
I love long, challenging hikings, even though I don't live in a very mountainous area. But when in holidays, this is what I usually look for. I like the picnic with a view at the top of the mountain as much as the pain climbing it!
I like playing board games with friends and family, especially the collaborative ones, I'm not a bad sport at all!
Most of all, I am curious to discover other ways of living.
Before working in HR and changing to being a nurse, I did a variety of jobs: deli meat worker, cleaning lady, housekeeper in a hostel, nanny, supermarket worker, clothing store salesclerck, care assistant, restaurant waitress... I'm a fast learner and quick to adjust!
