Hi! We’re Isabel and Amelie, two recent college graduates passionate about exploring the world and immersing ourselves in nature. We love any chance to be outdoors, including but not limited to hiking, swimming, or simply soaking in the beauty of our surroundings. Our shared love for adventure and the environment inspires us to seek out experiences that connect us with both the natural world and diverse cultures.

We’re pretty chill and open to whatever the world and our hosts have to offer. We’re eager to contribute to the households we visit, whether by helping with daily chores, assisting with gardening, or sharing our own skills and interests. Our curiosity and eagerness to learn drive us to embrace new experiences. We believe that hands-on experiences are the best way to truly understand and appreciate the world’s diverse cultures, and we’re excited about the opportunity to continue learning and growing through our travels.

Isabel is nearly fluent in Spanish and would love to teach others the language. She is also currently learning Korean as she will be going to South Korea in January as a Fulbright scholar. Amelie's mother is French and would love the opportunity to practice the language more.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We bring many practical skills honed through hands-on experience in various settings. We have extensive experience with household chores, including cooking, cleaning, and baking, ensuring that any living space we’re in is comfortable and well-maintained. We’ve also taken on various home improvement projects, such as interior painting, where we’ve transformed spaces with attention to detail and care.

Our experience extends outdoors, where we’ve contributed to gardening and yard work. Whether it’s planting, weeding, or general maintenance, we enjoy working with our hands and seeing the results of our efforts in a well-kept garden.

Additionally, we have experience in dog and cat-sitting for our neighbors, and Isabel has a TrustedHousesitters account. We love all kinds of animals and are dedicated to providing them with attentive and loving care, ensuring they are happy and well looked after in our care.

We are also eager to learn new skills and can readily adapt to different environments. We are warm, welcoming individuals who enjoy contributing to the well-being of others, whether through maintaining a household, caring for pets, or engaging in creative projects.

Was noch ...

We are both very outdoorsy people who love hiking, biking, climbing, swimming, etc. While very active, we also can be more introverted, enjoying reading and sipping a nice cup of tea (or coffee for Isabel). We met at Arizona State University and have been close friends after traveling through Ireland and the UK together in December 2022 following Isabel's study abroad in Spain.

Isabel, 22, grew up in Arizona and holds degrees in Global Studies and Applied Mathematics, with a minor in Spanish, from Arizona State University. She’s an aspiring foreign service officer interested in international relations. Martial arts are a big part of Isabel’s life—she practices Krav Maga, kickboxing, and dabbles in boxing and Muay Thai. She’s also a dedicated weightlifter and language enthusiast, fluent in Spanish and currently learning Korean. In January, Isabel will be going to South Korea under the Fulbright, where she will be teaching English for a year.

Amelie, who is about to turn 22, grew up in the British Virgin Islands before moving to California. She recently graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Sustainable Civil Engineering. Amelie is a creative and active person who enjoys biking, painting, and listening to music, especially Taylor Swift. She is very passionate about sustainability and the environment. While currently taking a year off, she will be attending Stanford University for her Master's in September 2025.
