Tätigkeiten, die mich interessieren:

I'm interested in getting to know local people and get inspiration from the lives of others. I enjoy experiencing places by walking or cycling, getting to see live music and being outdoors.

Beschreibung

I'm looking forward to cultural and learning experiences as I travel, experiencing local life and finding real connection and contribution. I've worked in IT as a developer/facilitator/manager where I developed skills in how to support people and teams, and understand how important things like trust, open communication and providing space for everyone to contribute in their own way are.

This also lead me to work with people with autisim and adhd for a year, helping them be more independant in their lives. Something that was challenging, but rewarding in understanding how people interpret the world differently.

My friends often tell me I'm good with people, I'm patient and a good listener. Some things I'd like to explore as I travel are teaching and working with animals. I especially enjoy finding like minded people to connect with as I travel.

I've also had experience helping my family on their dairy farm, building fences, sheds and being the general farm hand as well as renovating my own house.

I've done a lot of house and pet sitting, taking care of dogs, cats, cockatoos and fish! Generally for daily walks, feeding, hugs and administering medication.

I enjoy being outdoors, finding balance with meditation and yoga, and feeling the thrill of trail running and swimming in the ocean. I've done some woodturning and carpentry here and there, as well as some basic language courses in Maori and Spanish. I'd like to continue learning and developing those skills when possible.

Otherwise I look forward to all the amazing experiences there are on offer out there and contributing however I can! I'm probably not going to bring the young and full of life vibe!, but I can contribute a relaxed, reliable, interested and understanding aspect to your project :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've spent a career working in IT, such as working with teams to help them communicate and work together effectively. This makes me the problem solver for anything related to computers or electronics in my family :)
I've got some DIY skills from renovating my house a few years ago and have also done some farming work, doing basic jobs like milking and fencing.

I enjoy hiking and trail running, going to sports and music events and riding motorbikes. I'm always interested in learning guitar or piano again, but haven't got around to it yet!
