Hello 😊
I’m Helena and I’d love to gain some new experiences in Portugal! I currently study food- and biotechnology in Vienna but this summer I look forward to escape ordinary live and do things I have never done before.

I would like to see a bit more of the world and especially meet new people! I don’t have a lot expertise to offer, but I can do quite decent work in both home and garden, and I’m also great with kids, as I have been babysitting for well over 5 years now. I especially love doing DIY’s and helping with renovations. I’d say I’m quite experienced with a paintbrush and I love learning new things, as it is my big dream to renovate my own project one day (in quite some time).

The first time I was in Portugal, I was a kid, but I immediately realized that I love this country. The sea, the people, a saudade, . . . here I feel like a different person.
I have been learning Portuguese for over a year now (in an A2 level course) and I am eager to finally put my puzzle pieces of vocabulary and grammar together and hopefully become a little more fluid!

I'm fluent in german (motherlanguage) as well as english and would very much like to be fluent in portuguese some day! I also learned spanish in school but unfortunately I don't speak it well anymore. This summer I wish to improve my portuguese just by talking and listening as much as possible.

- cooking and I make a great cheesecake :)
- big sense of responsibility, organised and motivated worker
- I'm motivated to learn new things and have lots of energy!

Was noch ...

I'm quite a familiy and friends person and don't love to be alone. But by traveling alone this summer I would like to get more comfortable with this. I love all kinds of board games and chatting with people. If I need some down time, I'm happy to read a good book or go for a long walk.
