Namaste / Ola / Hello / Oi !!!

Originário da Índia. Morava no Rio de Janeiro desde outubro de 2020. Sim; Desembarquei no Brasil em plena Pandemia de Visto de Trabalho. Apaixonou-se pela Natureza e Montanhas do Brasil. Conheci pessoas de diferentes cidades durante minhas Trilhas/Caminhadas. As pessoas foram muito receptivas e simpáticas. Isso mudou minha mente e tomei a decisão de tirar longas férias do meu trabalho regular e explorar o Brasil. Estou muito curioso para conhecer novas pessoas e aprender sua cultura. Afinal; é apenas uma vida. Então, vivendo minha vida sob minhas próprias regras.

Eu amo fotografia e até mesmo voar drone como águia. Adoro cozinhar comida. Passo mais tempo na cozinha do que em qualquer outro lugar. Também comecei um canal no youtube depois de me apaixonar pelo Brasil. Crio vídeos e mostro a beleza do Brasil para o resto do mundo. Então me mostre sua cultura. Eu estou vindo.

Originated from India. Used to Live in Rio de Janeiro since October 2020. Yes; I landed in Brazil in middle of Pandemic on Work Visa. Fell in love with Nature and Mountains of Brazil. Met people from different cities during my Trilhas/Hiking. People were very welcoming and nice. This changed my mind and took a decision to take a long vacation from my regular job and explore the Brazil. I am very curious to meet new people and learn their culture. After all; its just one life. So living my life under my own rules.

I love photography and even fly drone like eagle. Love cooking food. I spend more time in Kitchen than elsewhere. I also started a youtube channel after falling in love with Brazil. I create videos and show the beauty of Brazil to rest of the world. So show me your culture. I am coming.

Wooow. What a magical place !!!
Due to my unpredictable schedules, I could stay only for 5 days. But these 5 days were equivalent to 50 days of experience.

Since this is a family based hostel, we see lots of family members here and as a volunteer I was totally confused about the family members or guests or… read more unknown people.

I felt lack of communication and organization skills here. No one used to provide any information and I was in confusion about things happening here.

Regarding the tours, I felt bad here because they informed me to assist the tours and at the last minute I saw someother person used to prepare for the tour. I was never communicated on this and no one cared. I guess this is the basic part of communication they should provide to us.

The tours sound good, Local guides are best with their forest skills. But they still lack basic manners and respect to clients. I was on a tour and on our final day it was fishing on amazon river. A speedboat passed by and created a huge waves. This filled the boat with water and got drowned. Luckily the water level was low and we could get off the boat. Everything got soaked with water. I was shocked with incident and the guides started to make fun of this. Initially I took it as a joke, but they reached their limit. So I had to be aggressive to keep their manners under control. Because its their responsibility to provide the safety. I also observed that others at hostel were laughing on this instead of looking what went wrong. So I found negligence on safety issues.

Food: Breakfast and Lunch is Included
We were always the last people to be served. I do agree that clients come 1st. Everyone starts to have lunch from 11am and we were provided around 2pm. Sometimes we never knew if they were providing the food or not. A huge loophole in communications. PLEASE WE ARE VOLUNTEERS AND NOT HOMLESS. If your not interested in providing the food, I can understand and can find food for myself.

Accommodation: Volunteers has a Dormitory with 4 beds. I called these beds as Volcano Beds. We feel like we are sleeping under the volcano because its hot always. The material used is very old . We had 1 portable fan and all the volunteers had to adjust to this. During day time, the family members used to take away this portable fan and we were left to suffer with immense heat.

There is a huge scope for Improvement, Please have a better communications and do treat volunteers as humans.

From India to Brazil, this very nice guy came and stayed with us for 2 weeks and shared his great company and amazing Indian spices.
