Beschreibung

Hey! My name is Francisco Sena. I am 23 years old and live in Northern Brazil. I have decided to spend three months traveling around Europe starting in November 2025. During my stay, I intend to connect with people and immerse myself in their cultures. I have an easygoing personality and consider myself flexible and adaptable. I can communicate easily with people from all walks of life and tend to remain calm in a crisis. My top priority is respecting others’ boundaries, as I expect mine to be respected as well.

My work experience ranges from volunteering as an English teacher in rural communities to pet sitting. I am also an academic researcher, so I have traveled extensively around my state. If you want to know more about Northern Brazil, you will have the chance to learn from me! I speak fluent Portuguese and English, and I am eager to learn Spanish, Italian, and French, though I am open to other languages as well.

I have experience taking care of animals, as mentioned above. I often stay in the homes of people I know when they travel, taking care of their pets, plants, and household cleaning. I cook for myself since I am vegan, but I can cook for you too if you like. Even though I do not eat meat, I do not mind if others do or eat it in front of me. Respect is what matters most, and I would never confront someone for having a different lifestyle.

I grew up in an entrepreneurial environment, as my parents have run a restaurant overlooking the great Amazon River for over a decade. I have experience as a cashier and in providing customer service, particularly to international guests, as we welcomed many foreign visitors during the summer season. I believe I am well suited for roles that involve guest interaction, such as positions in hostels.

I adapt quickly to new environments and learn fast. I do not like to limit myself, so I am open to a wide range of experiences through WorkAway. If I believe something is a good opportunity, I will embrace it without hesitation.

I have worked as an English teacher both in private schools and as a volunteer in a rural community in the countryside. I taught English to high school teenagers for about 11 months. In private schools, I taught students ranging from very young children to adults. In September, I will be giving an English course to doctoral students who will take a proficiency test in October.
