Beschreibung

What really motivates us is working towards a goal. When we are really convinced and happy to do something, we truly give it all. To us, nothing is better than doing things we enjoy and seeing how it brings us and other people forward.
For example, we love being outdoors and are very passionate about camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming and more! For nine months, we lived in New Zealand as Au Pairs and have experienced, learned and grown a lot. Not only have we been part of a completely new family with different cultures but also loved growing a community around all the activities we love and spreading the joy with others.

As we love the outdoors, one of our main focuses in life is to stay in touch with nature and be mindful with our environment. We are only a small part of this world and therefore want to learn as much as we in our Workaway experience. We want to help make this planet even just a little better by educating ourselves and others and are hoping to find the right project to do so.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Both of us are fluent in English. We lived in an English-speaking country for nine months and are therefore pretty confident in speaking the language and understanding all kinds of dialects without a problem.
In addition, Finya has a C2 level- Cambridge Certificate.

Both of us have a lot of experience with children - several babysitting jobs, our time as AuPairs. We have learned to be very flexible when it comes to meeting the parents wishes. We are able to build relationships based on trust and respect.

Also, both of us have experience in voluntary work with children.
Finya works at a museum for kids and teenagers and does several projects and exhibitions there and she did an internship at an elementary school.
Lotta works as a Teamer in Summer and easter camps for Kids between the age of 6-16 years, the work does not only consist of taking care and entertaining the kids but requires a lot of prework and organisation. She takes part in organising and working for different charity events of her home village as well.

Not to forget, our work as volunteers has brought us great expertise in working within a group, discussing about ideas, planning and executing those plans.

Also, we really enjoy photography, especially nature photography, and seeing the small things in pictures that one wouldn't focus on otherwise. Both of us have cameras that we bring onto every adventure with us :)

During our AuPair Year in New Zealand, Lotta also had to take care of multiple animals. 4 Horses, 2Goats, 5 Chickens, a dog, three cats and a lamb.
Finya got over her fear of dogs and is really good with dogs and cats since then :)

We both have experience in hospitality and worked at events as a waitresses and bartenders.

Also, Finya did a three-months long internship at an international digital marketing company in Berlin.
