Hello! My name is Femke, I am an 18 year old solo female traveller from New Zealand. I am an easy-going, friendly, and considerate person. I would say I have a warm personality and am open to meeting people from all walks of life. I get involved and am eager to help without needing to be asked. I’m quick to notice what needs to be done and take initiative. Whether that’s helping out with things around the house, keeping things organised, or serving customers. I’d love to help out!

I enjoy reading in my spare time, and getting lost in a good book. There is something that will always be novel to me about being able to immerse yourself in different realms through literature. I also enjoy being creative, this does absolutely nothing mean I am a modern day Picasso, I enjoy creating. Often the end result is a bit average but it is so satisfying to see the final result.

I have extensive experience in hospitality and customer service roles. I started working part-time when I was 14 in a busy cafe, teaching me a range of hospitality, cooking, and cleaning skills. Since then I have always worked customer facing jobs which aided me in the development of good conversational and people skills. I’m extremely patient, and posses an approachable manner. I am very comfortable around people and love a good chat, too know about your life, culture, and experiences. I enjoy immersion in other cultures, coming from little New Zealand we are very isolated, I wish to learn and experience as much as possible whilst I am travelling here in Europe.

I am punctual, and trustworthy. My punctuality and consistent time management being something I pride myself on. I try my hardest in all scenarios. I understand that trust is important, especially when it comes to your home, business and particularly family, and I take that seriously. You can expect me to be reliable, respectful, and genuinely helpful in daily life.

I hold an international drivers license, and am a safe and confident driver so would be happy to take children in a car if needed. I don't smoke. English is my first language so would be so happy with sharing some language skills with you :)) Although my English is New Zealand English, with a kiwi accent so it's a bit funny.

English is my first language and I would love to help you learn if that is something you are interested in. Equally I am interested to learn as well, English is my only language I can really claim to speak. Being half Dutch in NZ I didn't learn much Dutch, but can understand bits of spoken Dutch. Would be very keen on Dutch or Spanish.

I am a friendly proactive, and reliable person. I have experience in hospitality and customer service, which has taught me strong communication skills, responsibility, and how to remain calm and organised in stressful situations. I am approachable, patient, and easy to get along with. I’m comfortable around people, attentive, and enjoy engaging in conversation and activities. I’m more than happy to help with childcare, housekeeping, reception work, general help, cooking and meal preparation, and language practice. I am happy to do most things. I am a quick learner, and willing to take guidance to improve my abilities.
