¡Hola a todos! Soy Evelyn, una voluntaria, artesana y antropóloga proveniente de Lima, Perú. En 2018, di un salto valiente y reservé un boleto a Colombia, marcando el inicio de una travesía transformadora de tres meses. Este viaje abrió mi mente a nuevas formas de vivir, existir y relacionarnos con el universo.

He tenido la suerte de explorar diversos países, como Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, India y México, absorbiendo la riqueza de sus culturas y conectándome con personas de todo el mundo. Estas experiencias han enriquecido mi perspectiva y fortalecido mi deseo de contribuir de manera positiva a comunidades globales.

Además de mi amor por las conversaciones significativas y las tardes serenas con una taza de té, también disfruto cocinando con pasión y siempre estoy ansiosa por aprender algo nuevo. Mis viajes no solo me ha permitido saborear la diversidad culinaria, sino que también ha avivado mi deseo de compartir habilidades, conocimientos y energía positiva como voluntaria.

Greetings, everyone! I am Evelyn, a volunteer, artisan, and anthropologist hailing from Lima, Peru. In 2018, I took a bold leap and booked a ticket to Colombia, marking the commencement of a transformative three-month journey. This expedition broadened my perspective on how we live, exist, and connect with the universe.

Fortunate to explore diverse countries such as Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, India, and Mexico, I absorbed the richness of their cultures and forged connections with people worldwide. These experiences have enriched my outlook and fueled my desire to positively contribute to global communities.

Beyond my love for meaningful conversations and tranquil evenings with a cup of tea, I also relish passionately cooking and am always eager to learn something new. My travels have not only allowed me to savor culinary diversity but have also heightened my eagerness to share skills, knowledge, and positive energy as a volunteer.

Durante cuatro años, lideré proyectos en una organización internacional, desempeñando el rol de directora de operaciones. Mi experiencia incluyó el desarrollo de eventos, como conferencias y ferias, así como la gestión de equipos y diversas responsabilidades.

Mi historial laboral también abarca una sólida experiencia en ventas, coaching y una apasionada dedicación al trabajo social. Gracias a mi formación como antropóloga, he trabajado con comunidades vulnerables, pueblos indígenas y comunidades campesinas.

Adicionalmente, he contribuido a la sociedad a través de la enseñanza del inglés y cursos de repaso para niños y adolescentes como parte de mi trabajo voluntario. Además, mi versatilidad se refleja en roles como asistente de tienda, encuestadora, camarera (tanto en restaurantes como en hoteles), anfitriona de eventos y personal de limpieza.

For four years, I worked with an international organization where I held the position of Operations Manager. During this time, I was responsible for developing events such as conferences and fairs, managing teams, and overseeing various projects.

I bring extensive experience in sales, coaching, social project development, team management, and a profound passion for social work. Thanks to my background as an anthropologist, I have worked with vulnerable communities, indigenous peoples, and rural communities. Additionally, I have contributed to society by teaching English and providing review courses for children and teenagers through volunteering.

Moreover, I have worked in diverse roles, such as a store assistant, waitress (in restaurants and hotels), event host, and cleaning staff.

Board Games: I'm a board game enthusiast! Whether it's strategizing in Settlers of Catan, outsmarting opponents in Risk, or having a laugh with party games, I'm always up for a game night. I believe in the magic of board games to bring people together and create unforgettable moments.

Hiking: Exploring the great outdoors is a passion of mine. I find solace and inspiration in nature. I'm excited about the prospect of discovering the unique landscapes and hiking trails around the places I choose to stay.

Sci-Fi Series and Books: Whether it's getting lost in the futuristic worlds of classic literature or binge-watching the latest sci-fi series. I'm always open to recommendations and love discussing the intricacies of different sci-fi universes.
