Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Eva. I am a 25 year old female traveller visiting Oaxaca from Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I look forward to the possibility of engaging with your community and contributing to collective goals. I am a conscious, curious and respectful person, and have lots of experience with communal living both in my wonderful artsy communal home in canada as well as past workaway experiences in New Zealand. I hope to someday live on a sustainable communal property, and would love to learn as much as I can about others journeys in similar goals.

Singing and playing piano/guitar is one of my main joys- I am grateful to live in a community of musicians in Canada who cultivate a very creative environment. I would love to connect with others musically while I am in Oaxaca!!!

I enjoy playing and watching music, cooking and baking, dancing, yoga, mountain biking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, hiking, going to the sauna, swimming, and leaning into the absurdity and beauty of being alive with people I love. My professional background is mostly in wine, whisky, and beer making, though I am in the midst of pivoting to something new. I have experience with extensive customer service (mostly in wineries and cafes), landscaping, cellar and vineyard work, driving forklifts and other machinery, beverage sensory analysis, event planning, and business social media content.

I deeply value authentically connecting with people, and enjoy the unique interpersonal exchange that comes with workaway. I like to play and explore while also serving a collective goal with good communication, respect, and a sense of purpose. I hope to be able to help you with your projects, and immerse in your community during our shared time. I am looking for workaways throughout the month of April, but especially between April 4th and 20th.

A few logistical things about me- I only speak English, but hope to pick up a bit of spanish during my travels. I eat a vegetarian diet, and value nutritious, ethical food.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My educational and work background is largely in Enology and Viticulture (winemaking). I have been in this industry since 2018, and worked 5 harvest seasons in various regions, as well as year round cellar, tasting room, and landscaping work. From this industry I have experience with all aspects of the winemaking process, conducting wine tastings, setting up irrigation systems, gardening, and a bit of forklift and tractor work. I have also worked a variety of other jobs including child care, being a barista, volunteering at an animal sanctuary, performing with my band, and lots of other little things. I like to get dirty and work hard outside, but also enjoy anything that involves connecting with and helping others. Overall, I’m in a moment in my life where I’m hoping to expand upon things I already have experience with, but also learn all kinds of new skills and perspectives on things. I hope to be a kind and helpful asset to someone!

Was noch ...

I love a good mix of outdoor adventures/exercise and also quiet cozy time to engage in other artistic hobbies. I love a good glass of wine and card games and engaging with those around me, but also quiet time to myself to recoop. Getting to play music with others would be lots of fun, especially since I won't be able to bring any instruments over with me. I would also learn about new types of music and cooking from people with different backgrounds.
