I value freedom, independence and exploring new cultures. I am an avid hiker and traveler, having visited 35 countries throughout Europe, Central & South America and Asia. Additionally, I've done extended treks in the Oregon Cascades, Canadian Rockies, Italian Alps, Ireland, France, Guatemala and Nepal. Additionally, I love the simple life of farming and sustainable living.

I lived on a farm for 4 years with my late husband and loved every minute of it. Together we erected fencing, built raised garden beds, constructed a shop & buildings for our animals, chopped wood, established irrigation and grew vegetables from seed. We took care of our chickens, two Nigerian Dwarf goats and pigeons. During that time on the farm, I realized how much I love working the soil and land. I am an earth sign and feel very much at peace when I'm in a quiet place, digging in the dirt.

I come with a very well behaved, 7 year old mini aussiedoodle named Charlie who I've owned since he was a puppy. Charlie is extremely flexible, friendly, obedient and loves all animals and children...like his Mom. I began socializing Charlie to people and other animals when he was a puppy. Being on a farm is a very familiar environment to Charlie. He is well behaved, but occasionally feels the need to chase a chicken or two.
Hiking in nature is our favorite thing to do together. Nature and solitude rejuvenate me. I am comfortable living out in the middle of nowhere. I own a cabin on the river in the Redwood Forest of Northern California. I've been a nurse and nurse educator for 25 years, but I'm now interested in a establishing a slower, less stressful pace of living. I love cooking, gardening and building projects. I've become more nomadic as I've gotten older. I'm quiet, respectful, hard-working, down to earth and eager to help others.
