Hello! I’m Elodie, a recent politics graduate from the UK. I am a creative, curious and adventurous person who loves to meet new people and learn new things. I am also a BIG animal lover!

My girlfriend and I are in NZ visiting friends and exploring. We are eager to see the beautiful nature here and learn more about Māori culture.

I am a vegetarian who is very interested in sustainable and slow living. I find my happiness being in nature, practicing yoga, doing arty projects and dancing!

Skills and experience I have gained over the years:
- Cooking (I love to learn new recipes and have communal dinners)
- Gardening
- Animal care (experience caring for pet cats and a dog)
- Curating and organising DIY community-led art exhibitions and creative projects (I am very interested in using art as a tool for social change and to stimulate environmental and social connection)
- DIY and home odd jobs
- Decorating
- Hitchhiked from the UK across Europe to Slovenia for charity, collectively raising over £50,000
- Knitting, crocheting and sewing
- Amateur photo and videography

Last year I visited an independent community in France where I worked on the farm (e.g. collecting and transporting hay bales, watering many many plants), helped to build a footpath in the community garden, and cooked communal meals.

I am a hard worker and love to get stuck in! Excited to learn new skills and enhance the ones I already have. Looking for an opportunity to care for and connect with animals, learn about permaculture and self-sufficiency, and generally just be helpful in whatever way I can be!
