Beschreibung

Hi everyone! I'm Devon, 24 years old from Scotland. I'm joining workaway because I have a strong desire to have life experiences outside the norm. I'd love to connect with interesting, passionate people and communities who care deeply about the world.

My main passion is animal rescue and advocacy. My mission is make the world a kinder place for the other beings we share it with and encourage compassion towards all animals, regardless of species. Nothing makes me happier than spending time with rescued animals and being outdoors.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a master's degree in Human-Animal interactions so I have a solid foundation in human psychology and animal behaviour. I have experience providing care for a range of animals from chickens, cows, goats, turkeys, sheep and pigs to horses, dogs and cats.

I have a bachelor's degree in English and am able to teach English language and literature. I am also a skilled writer and communicator. I currently do freelance work creating content for an animal advocacy organisation.

I love cooking healthy plant-based food and being in the kitchen.

I am CPR and first aid trained. I am an SSI certified rescue scuba diver, a strong swimmer, and love being on boats and below the water. I also have a full manual driving license.

I'm physically fit, love being outside, and happy to get stuck into manual/physical labour and get muddy :)
