unterwegs auf Reisen
I am lover of nature. When traveling I like to stop, stay and connect. Learn about the places, the people and their stories. Cultural diversity fascinates me, and I am always open and eager to learn new things, skills and techniques. One can always learn something new from others. This basic principle guides me, motivates me and inspires me in my journey through life. I am a contemplative and a communicative person, as well as a person of action. I like intellectual work as much as physical work. I like to work with animals, people, gardening and construction, and I am spiritually guided by deep ecology principles. My academic background is theoretical physics (bachelor) and cognitive science (master's). I did research in both these fields. In the last 10 months I worked professionally as a horse caretaker and currently I am doing a master's degree in Anthropology. In the past I did work away in Switzerland and at present I want to explore the world more. I am interested about almost everything, and in my free time I like to read, dance, enjoy my time with people, hiking and gardening. My greatest wish is to live a simple life and connect deeply with people and nature. I truly believe we can all learn to live happily in a great society of life with respect for all human and non-human beings.
My educational background is physics and cognitive science and I did research in both these fields. In my work, my studies, traveling, and work away experience I learned, permaculture / gardening skills, horse and chicken care-taking and basic construction of greenhouses for plants and seedlings.
I am a tutor of physics, chemistry and math, and I am bit a of a computer geek as well. In Portugal I had a garden do produce food for myself and my family and I worked in other people's gardens as well. For more than seven years I worked as a salesman for a local organic market in Lisbon. And I worked on farm agriculture as well. For a couple of years I did babysitting for a family with two German kids and I was a teacher of math for school children. In the past I also worked as museum guide and as a horse caretaker at an equine center for social inclusion. As a boy-scout I learned many different skills and techniques, related to people management, environment management and survival in the wild, including natural construction for essential needs.
At the moment I travel and do a second master's degree in Anthropology.
I am interested to learn all kinds of skills and techniques. Specially those related with sustainable communities.
