Hej,
I'm David a 28 year old guy from Lake Constance, Southern Germany. While my main job in wintertime is working as a IT-Technician for a nursing school, in sommer, i like to travel and see new places. For the last years I worked in Sweden for different tourism companys, mostly as a wilderness and canoe guide. Now I want to switch it up again, still interested in sweden and norway but looking for new places, new job opportunitis ??, new people to meet and options to improve my swedish. (I am at a beginner level.) My english skills decreased a bit since workaway-ing in Canada some years ago, but I still speak it regularly and fluent.

I'm a reliable, open minded and helpful person. I stay calm even in stressful situations, am able to improvise and always willing to learn and connect.
I consider myself an honest person and it is important to me to keep promises I made. My family and the people around me like close friends, fire brigade colleagues and red cross members are quite important to me.

I really enjoy hiking, canoeing and generally outdoor activities. I prefer working together with other people in my time away, but I'm also fine working on my own. I'm very passionate about nature and enjoy learning about wildlife. If asked I am open to sharing everything I know about nature, but most of the time there is so much more for me to learn than to teach.

I like most kind of animals, but dogs are my favourite.

In the last 5 years I studied Informationtechnology in Weingarten, Germany. Now that I'm finished I want to see and learn about life in other countries and to experience different Cultures and especially the Nature. I want to experience especially the Nature of the northern countries, like for example the woods and lakes of Canada and the Coast of Norway.
Here in Germany I have some hobbies. I'm an active volunteer Firefighter in our local Fire Brigade and there I also do IT-Work for the Fire Brigade. I'm also a volunteer Paramedic and Community First Responder. For this hobby I hold a German basic EMT-Level. Sailing on Lake Constance and sometimes helping in training our Youth Sail Group in my Sailing-Club is also an hobby of me. I hold a boating licence for Germany and Lake Constance (sailing and motor boats).

I'm planing to visit Canada this year from July to December. In this time I would prefer to visit some destinations in Canada and experience canadian nature and lifestyle.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I worked as a wilderness and canoe guide before, am used to living in the wilderness or off-grid and able to operate a chainsaw, woodsplitter and basic tools.
As volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technican (german certificate) I am able to improvise a lot, so maybe I am not bringing the special skill you need, but an option to improvise it.
I have a license for normal cars and boats, as well as some years experience with both.
- some Outdoor- and Guide skills
- putting out fires and cutting people out of destroyed Cars ;)
- advanced First Aid
- sailing and driving small boats
I'm willing to Help with most things, as long as you can show me how to do it.

Every year I try to leave germany for some Months to work and travel somwhere else. The last 3 years I went to sweden, working for different companys as a wilderness- and canoe-guide. This year I would like to switch it a bit up an work
I am not a builder or handyman, but I do find my way around some tools. Beeing an informationtechnologist, I can help you out with that kind of stuff but I would like to set my focus on work unrelated to IT doing more hands-on work and digging into new fields of work.
