Hello! Hola!

I am an open-minded and mature 40; skilled in caretaking, carpentry, construction, remodeling, tree work, gardening, food cultivation, animal care, off-grid living, and some massage.

I have all my own tools.

I like to laugh. I am kind and lighthearted.

My primary values are autonomy, humility, respect and integrity. I like to use NVC and communicate clearly, directly from the heart.

Six years ago I left behind a corporate career for a more connected way of living and working with my hands. For 2 years my gf and I did many WorkAways in North America. Upon covid, I plugged back into carpentry work in North Idaho for 3 years.

Now I am in Southern Spain and I am seeking residential work/help opportunities at fincas, retreats, homesteads, farms, ranches, orchards, nature preserves, language schools, sustainable projects, and/or intentional communities. I welcome off-grid and sustainable as I have much practical experience with both.

I have a spiritual and meditation practice. I am an INFJ / ISFP and an Enneagram Type 8w9. Autonomy is my highest value.

I like to read and swim, and I love animals. I'm free from alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.

I am skilled in caretaking, carpentry and tree work and possess my own tools.

I am a consummate gardener and carpenter. I enjoy wood working, building & construction projects, general repairs & maintenance, gardening, landscaping and farming.

I have experience as a caretaker at various communities, including an off-grid farm, eco-village & orchard, and various meditation retreat centers and farmsteads. I have grown food from seed all the way through harvest and preservation, cooked for large groups, cultivated a farm and orchard, and cared for chickens and goats, including milking goats and making cheese. I have experience cooking and cleaning for large groups and performing gardening, landscaping, grounds-keeping and maintenance duties.

I am skilled in carpentry, construction and tree work. For the past four years I worked as a carpenter, handyman and arborist. I am also very handy with general electrical and plumbing projects as well as drywall and painting. I also have some good experience with concrete, paver and tile work.

I served as a resident caretaker at various farmsteads where I practiced with sustainable building methods, e.g. passive solar, straw bale, earth bags, and cordwood masonry.

In terms of tree work, I can climb and fall trees, limb branches, buck rounds, split and stack cord wood, and conduct safe and controlled fire burns. I can also prune fruit trees and ornamentals.

I am a self-starter and had a previous professional business career that gave me 15 years experience across corporate finance, leadership, entrepreneurship, consulting & management. I have a bachelor's degree in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York. I am a hands-on problem solver and enjoy the creative exploration it provides.

I possess project and personnel management skills. While I am self motivated, I thrive when collaborating as a team. I am an effective, kind and compassionate communicator. I am an INFJ / ISFP and an Enneagram Type 8w9.

I love animals of all kinds, and have a particular fondness for cats and dogs. I have experience caretaking for goats, chickens, cats, dogs and rabbits, and a little experience with horses.

I can upkeep and tend land and properties. I am experienced in accommodations cleanup, indoor and outdoor painting, trail maintenance, timber management, mowing fields and lawns, administrative and office tasks and projects, organization of supplies, including tools and tool sheds, etc.

In terms of project tasks, if you ask me to do something, you can be assured it will be done.

All around, I am detail and people-oriented, dependable, resilient, responsible, safe and conscientious.

I am also good with children of all ages.

I do not smoke, drink or takes drugs, and generally, I try to make healthy lifestyle decisions, but some sugar is sometimes a weakness 😆

I have all my own tools and welcome opportunities to live in solitude in the woods. I have plenty of books and interests to keep me engaged and fulfilled. I enjoy the company of truly good people and being alone in nature too.
