Hey I am Claudia :)
I am a down to earth and spiritual person at heart. I have always had the travel bug and I am not planning on stopping anytime soon. I have just graduated with my degree and I am so excited to be having a gap year to travel and immerse myself in some beautiful cultures. I feel at my happiest when I am travelling as it broadens my mind and allows me to find out what I really want to do. I want to travel slowly and stay at each place for a month in order to immerse myself in the nature and really get to know what life is like in each country, as this fascinates me the most. I am a big foodie and I love to cook (especially asian food) so would be happy to share this with everyone on my journey. I love connecting with like minded souls when I am travelling and to do our experiences together as this is so special! I am inspired by other people and the beauty of nature - this is so much to explore! I am an adventurer at heart and I can't wait to see what wonderful people and amazing experiences I have over this next year ☺️

Education
I have completed a Bachelors degree in Visual Communication Design with a major in Marketing. I studied a few years of nursing before this and gained some incredible skills alongside! I completed my higher school certificate and have done mini courses along the way including meta ads, spiritual healing, creative writing and art classes.

Work experience
I have worked in many places, with over 8 years experience in hospitality working behind bars, waitressing in restaurants, serving coffee in cafes and managing a busy Italian restaurant. I have worked in support work for over two years when I was studying nursing. Currently I work in marketing for a fashion design agency. I am in charge of running meta ads, copywriting, creating content including videos and posts, coming up with campaign ideas, scheduling posts, tracking performance and initiating content ideas.

Travel experience
I have travelled to Asia including Thailand, Sri Lanka, trekking in Nepal, snorkelling in Fiji and exploring Singapore. I was born in Australia but grew up in England for a few years (my dad is British) before moving back to Australia to complete schooling and university. I have always been drawn to Europe and I completed my first solo trip here in 2020 where I visited UK, France, Italy, Germany, Amsterdam, Czech Republic & Switzerland. I left wanting more and knew I would be back in the future!

Other volunteer experiences
I have volunteered with Foodbank during my University holidays. We helped to pack leftover food taken from Australian major food suppliers and boxed this up for people in need. I loved this volunteering and I have always wanted to make a difference for people. I also ran a cake stall called 'Cakes for Causes' where I baked a lot of cakes and biscuits and sold this at the local markets to raise money for children in Syria. This was such a fun experience and I was hooked on the feeling of helping others!

My favourite board game is Monopoly! I love to have games nights with friends or to have crafty nights where we have yummy food and do arts and crafts
