I’ve had a pretty diverse and dynamic work history and I think what ties it all together is a desire for new experiences and meeting new people. I am currently applying for nursing school which I think is an extension of this, and also because I find caretaking deeply fulfilling. I love immersing myself in new environments and navigating new cultures. I have been lucky enough to travel to some incredible places-- I studied abroad in Beirut, Amman, and New Zealand. I get a lot of joy from continuous learning whether that is from finding hands-on experiences, reading and watching movies, listening to podcasts, or having conversations (and even debates) with new people.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My partner Jeremy and I have worn many hats throughout our twenties. Jeremy is a former high school math teacher and jazz musician (piano and vocals) and loves to teach. I’m currently applying for nursing school to become a labor and delivery nurse. Since I graduated from college in 2021, I’ve primarily worked in non-profits and restaurants. While I was still in college, Jeremy spent time a few months WWOOfing on several different farms including on a Californian vineyard and small-scale chicken farm.

We're both hard workers and have lots of experience working together. In 2020, we Au Paired for a Swiss family where we took care of 4-year-old twins. We both absolutely love children (and hope to have our own someday)! This past summer we worked at a fine dining restaurant in Maine on a small island called Deer Isle where Jeremy managed the weddings and I was a server/nanny. We also care deeply about good food and love to cook for each other and large groups of people!

We are respectful to live with, very clean, and enjoy domestic chores. We're also both great communicators, and are good at navigating conflict and stressful or fast-paced environments. We’re in good physical shape, and love being in the outdoors, especially hiking, and camping. We are outgoing and friendly and love to meet new people and be part of a team etc.

My mom is French and my dad is American and I’m conversationally fluent in French, and am really hoping that our Workaway experience will allow me to immerse myself in a French environment. Jeremy took French in high school and is very enthusiastic about practicing his French.
