Hey! At the moment I'm in Rishikesh. I am looking to volunteer for the next three to four week. I am really open to everything as long as it's in a peaceful natural environment!

Beschreibung

Hi!
I'm Bruno, a 32 year old seeker from Uruguay. Two months ago I left everything behind and took a one-way flight to India in search of my purpose.

I used to work as a photographer in adevertising and magazines and also as technical producer and camera assistant in the film industry. Even though I enjoyed the job, it didn't fulfill me.

I then decided solo-trek halfway across the mountains of North Macedonia. After coming back home I decided to take a turn in my career and started a vegan and gluten free cooking blog, I also organized and gave cooking workshops. This went for a couple of years, until I started to feel this wasn't my purpose either.

This led me to last year, when I received a calling from the mountains again. I travelled to Nepal to solo-trek in the Himalayas for a month. It became clear to me then that I needed to leave my country, get out of my comfort zone, in order to grow.

So, I went back to Uruguay, got rid of many of my things, my room, cancelled all my fixed expenses and took a one-way flight to India. I decided to try a new life strategy and explore the opportunities life throws at me and see where it takes me. So that's why I signed up on Workaway, to open a new door for opportunities to come!

My skills include:
- Photography (did advertising and concert photography)
- Videography (no video-editing, I must be honest, I hate it)
- Writing (studied Bachelor in communications, wrote for magazines and my own cooking
blog)
- Sailing (my first job was as a sailing instructor, I am a sailor since I was 10 years old)
- Trekking (I have volunteered with Indiahikes as Assistant trek leader)
- Organizing and optimizing (Anything! My biggest natural gift is my analytical mind. I am
good at understanding how things work and coming up with ideas and solutions to make
them work better)
- English and Spanish (I can teach both! I am also good in Portuguese and know very little
French)
- Cooking (when I moved out of my parents house at 18, I discovered my love for cooking. I
then turned up to teach vegan and gluten free cooking through workshops)
- Music (I love singing and now I am also playing some ukelele that I bought here)
- Gardening (I love being in touch with the earth! I don't have lots of experience but I used to
grow my own herbs and some vegetables on my balcony)
- Meditation (I am a Vipassana meditator)
- Painting (I have painted my apartment several times, as well as helped at my parents and
other relatives houses)
- Manual skills (whenever something broke at my house, I would first give it a try at repairing
it myself, be it electrical stuff or mechanical. I didn't always succeded, but I got a pretty
good rate!)

I like to spend my free time reading, playing music, meditating, walking in nature and sharing time and adventure stories with people. I just enjoy the simple life!
