Hi there! I'm Chihiro — a curious and creative soul from Japan 🇯🇵 currently on a working holiday in Spain.

After several years working as a UX designer, I decided to take a break to explore new cultures, meet inspiring people, and experience different ways of living. I'm passionate about human connection, storytelling, and finding joy in everyday moments.

Recently, I completed the Camino de Santiago — walking over 800 km across Spain. It was one of the most transformative journeys of my life and taught me the value of presence, patience, and deep connections with people from all walks of life.

Back in Japan, I also worked as a weekend tour guide, introducing international visitors to Japanese culture, traditions, and historic places. I love sharing stories and creating meaningful moments that help people connect with a place and its people.

During university, I was actively involved in NGO work and helped build homes from scratch in Indonesia and Nepal. Learning how to construct walls and support beams from local carpenters was a truly hands-on and rewarding experience — it sparked my appreciation for sustainable living and cross-cultural collaboration.

I also did a homestay in Finland, where I helped take care of two lovely girls (aged 4 and 9). Spending time with them through play and daily routines was both heartwarming and fun — it reminded me how naturally connection can grow through shared moments.

I'm especially interested in :

— all things that bring together creativity, mindfulness, and a love for thoughtful living.

I'm a positive, responsible, and open-minded person. I enjoy listening to others, sharing meals, laughing at the little things, and learning through doing. Whether it’s lending a hand around the house, helping in the garden, or simply connecting through conversation, I’m always happy to contribute.
