Hi all, My name is Brian. I am a guy who loves to travel, meet new people and explore . What i would love is to spend time working to help a family/ community and to meet amazing people along the way.
What interests me most would be to go to a community where it is day to day very chill and where i will get the chance to meet interesting people, hike amazing routes, to go for swims in scenic areas, sunshine, and to immerse myself in a culture with all types of people. What motivates me most is that im learning and living my life to the full.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am very much a people's person, and I will mould to any group and always get on with people. I love Networking. I am from a sales background and I love building relationships. I graudated from Dublin City University in 2019 with a degree in International business and French, which of course perfected my language skills and really gave me an international focus. This degree has thought me a lot about international dealings and alligns with my keen interest to travel and learn about new cultures across seas. I am currently an Executive Recruiter and my contract finishes in Jan 2022. Its travel time !

Throughout my college degree 2014- 2019, i was working in a menswear retail store in my hometown Sligo, Ireland. The shop was called EJ Menswear, and its renowned in Ireland as a top groomsman store. This helped me to improve my dealings with people, and 5 years in retail has taught me that im perfectly suited to a people facing role, and this involves working in hospitality, bar work or any sort tourism. I also worked in a local bar/restauraunt for a year in FIddlers Creek Sligo.

I always get involved with my local community wherever i can. Whether this be fundraising, getting involved in my local GAA club, or making an effort to connect with my neighbours and local society. I am a big GAA enthusiast as afore mentioned, and I help out with coaching underage teams in my local club. I coach u6 - u10 twice a week for 6 months of the year. I have included pictures of this in my profile. This would make me perfectly suited to teaching or working with kids. I am quite good with kids and thoroughly enjoy working with them. I was also the driving force behind a community charity fundraiser in 2020 where I helped raise 32,000 for local cancer support.

Spent my 3rd year in university on Erasmus in France, which really sparked my interest in international travel. Having studied the french language for 4 years as part of my college degree, this was the year that perfected my french speaking. Good level of French.

I have experience working on building sites as you can see on my profile. I spent summer 2019 in New York where i was 3 months as a carpenter, which I can tell you is hands on work !!!

As a sporting athlete, I am quite fit and i am well able for hard work. My dad has a farm and I often have to do the work with him. I would be a good addition on the farm or working where it requires hard work. In ireland its common for people to save Turf (Fuel) for the winter, and I help save the turf every Summer to have in store for the winter. This is 3 weeks hard work in Summer, and requires hard work.

Somthing that ive taken a massive interest this year is the art of mindfullness. I love creating space with my thoughts and its one thing that I would love to integrate into my workaway experience in some form. I medidate and journal daily, and im a massive outdoor enthusiast, going hiking or sea swimming at any opportunity.

Was noch ...

Massive sports person who plays at the highest level in my sport, Irish GAA. My biggest interest would be to stay on a chill coastal area where I can meet cool people, go for swims, hikes and immerse myself in sunshine. Big interest in Mindfullness and often meditate and journal. Would love if this was a part of my Workaway journey.
