We are happy to work with people of all ages. We can assist families with home maintenance and gardening. We have experience of hospitality and are happy to work with members of the public.

Beschreibung

We are a British married couple, living in Bulgaria. We hold permanent residency in Bulgaria, obtained before Brexit and have therefore retained EU rights. We love to travel and have travelled widely, mainly in Europe and Asia. We like to get off the beaten track and enjoy authentic cultural experiences with local people.

Phill is a retired Fire Service Officer and Angela has a background in working with disadvantaged young people and offenders. We both have lots of experience of working with people in many different situations.

Since we left the U.K. we have both been working as English Language teachers and we are patient and tolerant with learners. We have both spent time teaching English to children and adults. We have skills in home repair and maintenance having transformed a previous home of ours. We have also enjoying growing our own fruit and vegetables.

We have both worked in the hospitality sector at various times in our working lives and have experience in bar work and serving customers in restaurants. We both have allergies when it comes to furry friends, so living with pets is not possible for us. We are vegetarian and enjoy cooking and trying different cuisines. We do not smoke or vape. Our hobbies include listening to music, reading, playing board games and exercising to keep fit and healthy.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Angela has a BA (Hons.) degree in History from Lancaster University and is a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE from Brighton University. Angela has over 20 years of experience in working with children, young people and adults from disadvantaged backgrounds. She has managed youth development programmes and a rehabilitation programme in a prison in order to reduce reoffending rates. Angela also holds a CELTA qualification and has taught English overseas (in both face to face and online classes) to students aged from 4 years old up to adults.
Angela has completed a one year Voluntary Service Overseas placement in Hungary and has also volunteered as a Fire Cadet Leader, a Special Constable and a teaching assistant in the United Kingdom. Angela has also worked in the hospitality sector as a silver service waitress and a bar assistant.

Phillip holds diplomas in Business Management & Leadership and Technical Fire Safety. Phillip has retired from a 28 year career in a U.K. Fire and Rescue Service as an officer in the rank of Station Manager. Phillip dealt with emergencies on a daily basis which required critical decision making, in order to reduce the risk to life. Prior to joining the Fire and Rescue Service, Phillip was a qualified and experienced Steel Fabricator. Phillip also holds a CELTA qualification and has experience of teaching English to children and adults in face to face and online classes.
Phillip volunteered to become a member of a UK Government team of Firefighters, and was deployed overseas to carry out search and rescue operations following natural disasters. Phillip also has experience of voluntary work with groups of young people on outward bounds activities. Phillip has worked in the hospitality sector and has experience of working in a bar and gastro pub.

Was noch ...

Since leaving the U.K., in 2016, we have lived in three different countries (Hungary, Greece and Bulgaria) and have also travelled extensively around the Far East and Europe. We are flexible and have a lot of experience in adapting to new cultures. Our hobbies include cycling, listening to live music and playing board games. Phillip is interested in technology. We both enjoy cooking, eating out and travelling.
