Beschreibung

Hi! I am Bianca 18 years old, and I am living in Austria. I speak German (first language), English and a little bit of Spanish.
I want to see the world. In my last two years of school I have been dreaming about working on a ranch with my best friend and enjoying being away from home for some time.
If you asked me how I would describe myself I would probably say that I am funny, nice, helpful, big-hearted, humble, creative, direct and approachable (I might look angry but I am just relaxing my face muscles, I promise I am a nice person!).
Furthermore I could probably call myself an artist. I like to paint, and I also really enjoy doing pottery even though I could only try it out a couple of times. Furthermore I like to read rather than partying. I am also a little bit of a musician, well not really but I can play a little bit the guitar and I sing not so bad (don`t expect too much, please ; ) )
I was raised in a family of six people .(I have 3 younger brothers the youngest one is 9 and the oldest 16) So I would say I can handle children.
I have been playing volleyball for about 10 years but if I have to be honest, I play like I only started a year ago : (. I also been riding English for about 6 years and western for about a year. (as a hobby, I didn't take part in any competition) I am not a beginner when it comes to riding, I always stand up again after I fall ; ) , but I am still learning and would love to learn more.

Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m an 18-year-old woman from Austria. I speak German, Englisch and my Spanish isn’t too bad.
This dream about working on a ranch and living in a foreign country has been in my mind for about two years now and I have to say that I was ready to do it alone, but then my best friend also got really excited about it, and at that moment it no longer only was my dream, but hers too- and so here we are now. Two years ago, it started as a “dream” and now I can’t wait for it to become reality, because for me it isn’t only about experiencing a different lifestyle but also about finding myself and outgrowing myself. Naturally, it’s also about the complete contrast of school to a lifestyle of physical work. I hope that doesn’t sound like I expect everything to be easy, because I’m aware that there are going to be moments which are going to be extremely difficult, but I know that this is part of the experience.
If I had to describe myself, I would probably tell you that I’m an empathetic and sensitive person. I’m also extremely open-minded, humble, determined and responsible.
I love to read in my free time, so you don’t have to worry that I might get bored easily. Apart from that I love riding, and have been riding since, I was around 8 years old. At first, I started learning “western riding” but due to a lack of western riding teachers I switched to English and started learning Western again from the beginning last summer. I also like mountain climbing, but I only do it a few times a year with my parents. I also play volleyball, with Bianca, but like her, only as a hobby. I played the guitar for some years, but stopped, so I have to confess there isn’t a lot that I can play 😉.
What else can I tell you: I have an older brother, like 10 years older, and one cat. I love to spend time with animals and care for them.
I would love to learn about everything and anything so from building and construction work to working with horses and animals in general, I’m ready to listen and do my best.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Bianca:First of all I would say I learn quickly when it comes to practical jobs, because as I child I loved to hang out in my grandpa's garage and build tiny cabins out of wood for my toys. My dad is also someone who knows to repair nearly everything so he showed me some things, for example changing the tires. Furthermore I am able to do various painting jobs. (I am very precise when it comes to masking before painting.)
What I really like about myself is, that when I set my mind to learn something I'm going through with it. For example last year I learned how to crochet or I taught myself how to paint. But the best example for sticking through with something is probably learning snowboarding. Let´s just say I was not very talented but I got there in the end, even if it takes a while to learn a skill, it´s for sure worth it!

Sarah: About my skills I can say that I am good at baking, because I do it quite often. Especially before exams, because for me it’s relaxing and all of my friends get a treat on exam day- so it’s a win-win situation. I would say I’m quite good at it (or at least my friends tell me that 😉). I can also change tires (at least I did it once ;). Furthermore, I also painted Biancas room with her and I'm really good at recalling things.

We would love to learn more about horses and in general about animals, learning practical skills and just experience a ranch lifestyle and all the work that comes with it. For us there are never too many animals, Bianca grew up without any pets, but she always wanted a pet or more. But her parents said four kids make enough work and sadly she couldn't argue with that. So we would like to stay with someone who has numerous animals. : )

Some things we have done lately are:
helping the ranch where we've been riding, out after a major flood,
last year in summer we helped an older lady out with her horses because her stable boy was not doing his job correctly,
Bianca renovated her room (we painted the walls by ourselves)
