Hi Everyone! My name is Ben and I'm from the midwestern United States. I've spent the last several years working in the financial services industry, but now have the opportunity to travel! I'm looking to get out of my comfort zone in the US and spend time in other parts of the world living and working.
I'm an active and curious person and I love any opportunity I get to explore a new place. In my free time I love running/working out, spending time outdoors, or enjoying a good meal with friends. Through Workaway, I want to gain hands-on experience, make a meaningful contribution, and discover new perspectives. I’m excited for a journey full of adventures, inspiring encounters, shared projects, and new challenges!

Work Experience:
- Financial Services (~3.5 Years)
I've spent the last 3+ years working in the financial services industry. I've developed strong analytical skills as well as the ability to stay organized and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Customer Service / Cashier (~1 Year)
I worked various customer service roles, primarily in a retail setting while I was growing up and in college. I learned to communicate with customers and effectively adress their questions and concerns in an organized way
- Lawn Mowing / Landscaping Work
While growing up and in early adult years I spent time mowing laws and doing various landscaping tasks
Education:
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a double major in Finance and Management Information Systems as well as a minor in Business Law
Interests / Other:
I am very active and love sports and the outdoors. I love baseball, basketball, football, running and have experience coaching soccer and skiing

I'm someone who really enjoys challenging myself and learning. Whether thats challenging myself physically (I just ran my second marathon earlier this year), through work/school, or creatively (I'm trying to learn how to DJ right now), I love exploring new hobbies and learning from others.
