Beschreibung

I'm a curious person that loves getting to know other people, cultures and their way of living. I've lived my whole life in a big city (São Paulo) but my family and I have always enjoyed escaping to nature, travelling, hiking and discovering new landscapes. Also, as an architecture and urban design student, I'm really interested in urban history and how people interact with their cities/communities, and I believe Workaway is the perfect way to get to know more authentically someone and somewhere. Lastly, as I'll be doing an study exchange program in France next year, I think that doing a volunteering in France (and in French) would be a great start to this adventure.

Portuguese is my mother tongue, and I've studied in a bilingual school soI'm very comfortable with speaking English as well (my mom is an english teacher too so that helped :)). I've also learned hebrew since my school was Jewish and currently have an intermediate level. i'm currently interested in improving my french, since I'll be doing an exchange in February and would very much like to have an advanced level of French, as I believe that speaking the local language enables you to live that place more authentically. I've been studying french for the past year and I'm around B1 level...

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm an eager learner and know how to adapt to different environments. I don't have a professional background in most of the activities offered in the platform (i'm not a professional painter, nor gardener, etc) but I believe that I'd be able to learn quickly and be useful for my host. I like to deal with nature, plants, etc. Also, I have done some manual work with model making in college, and can help with painting or fixing stuff... As someone born in 2001 I deal ok with technology, social media and this stuff, although I'd personally prefer not to do something digital-related in my volunteering. I'd like something more hands-on. Lastly, I love to cook and help in the kitchen. Oh, and I'm a somewhat good photographer too.

Was noch ...

I enjoy riding my bike to explore new places, hiking, seeing movies... I play cards and also Rummikub, which is a really cool game. I'm interested in cinema, architecture, cities, tourism, photography and food (cooking, recipes, ingredients...)
