Hello! I am Ariadna, from Spain, and looking forward to come back to Central Asia. After living and studying in Almaty for a year, and being able to travel around the region, I have comed to love the culture and the food and the way of looking at life. I love reading, mostly fiction, and walking. Althought I am not currently the most able with a hammer, I am an eager and fast learner :)

Я также изучаю русский язык и надеюсь сдать экзамен на свой уровень в 2024 году ((так что я надеюсь немного попрактиковаться)).

I can teach Spanish and English, I have some experience with tutoring and informal classes. I am learning Russian and hope to take my C1 exam in 2024 (a lot of practice will be needed for that, I am hoping I can get some, plus I will be travelling with my test books to practice and study in my free time).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I was a summer camp counselor for two years, with kids between 10 and 13 years old, organising activities and very informal English-learning classes (it was an English-learning camp) (by informal I mean through music lyrics or through geography, rather than with grammar lessons and such). I also did private tutoring in languages and social sciences for two young girls at 17 years old who were preparing to take the exams to go into university. I enjoy interacting with students and being able to help people learn a language that I was lucky to learn very young. I am not a native speaker but I am completely fluent.

I have some writing experience in journalism and have supported event-organisation several times.

Was noch ...

My guilty pleasure is playing card games and I love playing and discovering new board games. I cannot draw very well, but I love painting inside the lines, ironically. I am very scared of horses (which maybe Central Asia will cure), but I love dogs. As a good Spaniard, I am a daily coffee drinker, I eat very late and try to take a nap if I have time.
