Hello :)

My name is Arabelle and I'm a 33 years old Swiss woman.

One year ago, I took the best decision of my life : quit my office job for a life more connected to the earth and the nature!

Since then, I've been lucky enough to work on 2 farms in Switzerland and have learnt a lot of fascinating things, including permaculture, gardening (fruits & vegetables), caring for goats and sheep and bee-keeping. During this time, I enjoyed the work and being outside as much as the people I've met. Even if I like to be on my own sometimes (to enjoy a walk or read a good book), spending quality time with the people around me is something important to me.

After all these great experiences close to home, I'm keen to wander around Europe a bit and discover other cultures and other ways of living with the land. I'm planning a short trip at the end of 2024 (about 1 month, by train, in Europe) and then, in 2025, a trip of several months by bike, across Europe, taking the time to stop off at farms for a few weeks here and there.

Easy to get on with and always with a smile on my face, I'm curious and always happy to learn new things! Whether in the garden, in the kitchen (used to cook mostly vegetarian food ) or with animals (I also rode horses for more than 15 years, therefore I'm comfortable with them and with other animals), you can count on my enthusiasm for any activities! I'd also be delighted to discover ecoconstruction methods :) I have ease to learn and am autonomous at work.

During my free time, I'm also always trying new things : embrodery, sewing, drawing, wild harvesting, weaving, climbing, cycling, cold water swimming, writing, and so many other things! Walking and hiking are also something I love and absolutely need in my life :)

Regarding my experience with Workaway, it will be the second one for me :) I've already spent a few weeks in a farm in Nepal some years ago. It was a great experience!

Last but not least, respect & caring of each other is something important to me. You can count on me to keep your place tidy and to take care of it :)
