Hi everyone! I recently graduated and want to use my gap year to see more of the world. I first gained interest in solo traveling at sixteen, when I went to school in England for two months. I‘m in New Zealand on a working holiday visa and plan to stay for a year.

During my previous travels, what’s been most memorable to me were the conversations I’ve had with strangers and new friends along the way. I enjoy meeting people from different places and cultures and believe there’s always something to learn from someone else’s experience and perspective.

I spend a lot of my free time reading, doing art with friends and going to concerts.
I’m very excited to be able to travel more independently now that I’m done with school and look forward to all the adventures in front of me :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have some experience serving customers and cleaning from a bakery/café in Germany at which I‘ve been working for over a year. I am comfortable interacting with other people (i.e. customers/guests) and feel confident in my ability to communicate through challenging situations.
I've also worked at a plant nursery/ market garden for four months where I was responsible for the sowing, pricking and potting of young plants (mainly vegetables) as well as watering and maintenance.
So far in New Zealand, I have worked in hospitality and housekeeping.
I have a C2 Proficiency Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and can assist with learning both English and German.
I am very open to taking on different kinds of work and gaining skills in new areas, such as cooking or crafting.
