Hi!! My name is Alyssa Kern, I am 22 years old and live in Adelaide, Australia. I recently took some time off studying Occupational Therapy to venture out on my first overseas trip. This trip was an amazing experience which has left me keen to explore and understand the lifestyles of many different cultures.

I am someone who loves to be around others and meet a diverse range of new people as the human mind and the different ways people think fascinate me. I enjoy helping others and being able to make a difference which I think this opportunity would allow me to do.

I am always down to have fun and experience new adventures as I believe that we grow by getting out of our comfort zone. I spend my downtime reading a good book, practicing yoga and taking my dog on hikes. I am most happy when I am outdoors in nature as well as being surrounded by my friends and family. I am a real people person and love to brighten everyone's day! I am excited and ready for my next adventure to work hard, help and meet others.

I would love to develop my skills in speaking Italian as I learnt it throughout primary and high school. Since I have my foot already in the door I would love to continue and maybe one day be able to fully speak and understand the language. I think that it is so useful to speak another language and communicate with another culture.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am currently working two jobs, one at a fruit and veg shop and as a receptionist at a chiropractic clinic. I talk and socialise with people in both these roles as well as process payments, cleaning procedures, stacking fruit n veg and lifting and moving boxes. Prior to working my current jobs I have had experience in baby sitting and looking after young children, as well as helping with homework and activities to facilitate their learning. I have helped my family, in particular my grandma with her household chores which include mopping / vacuuming floors, wiping and cleaning out cupboards, decluttering drawers and any sort of assistance that she needs.

Was noch ...

One of my favourite games to play would be trivial pursuit (although I'm not very good at it) I love learning facts and gaining knowledge! I also love to have a good dance and sing and these have both been passions of mine since a very young age. Although once again I might not be very good at these things, I believe it helps me to express myself and help me work through emotions. Last but not least, I absolutely lovee being in nature and the outdoors. I find that mountains, rainforests, waterfalls and beautiful landscapes are my happy place and bring me peace.
