I am spending the next 5 months in South America and looking for friends who like to hike, (learn to) surf, eat new foods, peruse new cities and villages, etc etc!

Hi! I am in month 8 of traveling in Central and South America after finishing my technical Masters degree and quitting my job! I hope to split my time between workaway opportunities and staying at hostels in different cities and small towns. I have worked at hostels and in dining hospitality multiple times before. I love hiking, exploring urban areas, going out to eat or cooking new meals, working at hostels or farms. I also want to keep learning how to surf, go snorkeling, and hike as much as possible! I speak conversational Spanish and am always looking for other travelers and locals to improve it!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am very easy going and have travelled a lot in the past, so I am no stranger to mishaps and getting lost! I can provide assistance with computers/technology, teaching English, basic Spanish, or computer skills. I also have worked in a restaurant for 7 season as a server and prep cook, at a coffee shop for two years, and at a guesthouse doing reception and cleaning in Japan for a month - so working at a cafe or hostel would be a blast as well! I am also open to building projects, volunteer projects, and teaching English.

I play classical guitar in an ensemble so I love to jam for fun! I also love singing! I have been making YouTube videos of travels, ski trips, and cooking nights as a way to keep memories of fun times.

I have volunteered with children in my community as well as animal shelters so I love doing both of those things.

I am an avid skier in the winter and could spend every day on the mountains year round - hiking or skiing. I backpack overnight almost every weekend in the summer and I took my first surf lesson last year!

I am extremely competitive with board games and card games - not a fan of monopoly because it takes way too long, but I like to learn new card games all the time. I also love different crafts like crocheting, mosaics, videography, and watercolor painting.
