I'm Abril, I'm 27 years old and I'm from Barcelona but when I was 2 years old, my family moved to live in a house in the middle of nowhere in Teruel (one of the least densely populated areas in Europe). My mother started a rural tourism hotel project in an old restored house. There we had horses in freedom and different animals, so I learned to build, work in the fields, take care of animals and help with housework, such as cooking, cleaning, etc.

When I was 17, I moved to Barcelona to study Communication and Cultural Industry in the university. Since then, I have been working in many different jobs like art communities and festivals (contemporary arts, slam poetry, psytrance, flamenco) as a producer and communication manager, which is my passion and what enriches me as a person. But also I had jobs that have simply given me money like a waitress, because it's so difficult to live from art and culture in Spain.

After my first trip to Malta (in 2018), where I did my first 2 workaways, I knew I wanted to dedicate a few years to travel and get to know other ways of seeing life. After combining work and travel, I spent 3 months in Senegal and 3 months in Mexico in 2022.

For the last 3 years I have been passionate about Land Art, because art and nature are my favorite things in the world. For this reason, I'm developing Land Light Fest. This initiative aims to explore human-territory interaction, experimentation with local resources, and the transformation of matter with light and audiovisual media.

I consider myself a very open and sociable person. I really enjoy meeting people of all kinds and learning other ways of looking at life.
I think I adapt very well to all kinds of situations. Most of my life I have lived in a house that had no electricity and water connection, so I adapt quickly to everything :)
My passions are recording and editing videos, doing land art installation, sculpture, collage, sewing, photography, and doing sports in the mountains like skiing, climbing and canyoning.

I can help with different tasks like construction, agriculture, gardening, customer service, cooking, caring animals…I can also help with creative tasks like land art installation, creating videos, photos, collage murals or websites for hostels or festivals.

Although I am only 25 years old, I have lived with very different people and I think I have the ability to know how to share the best with everyone. The most important thing for me is that there is a good atmosphere.
